Learn Amharic words and phrases: To push = መግፋት (megfat) E.g: እባክህ በሩን ግፋው። (Ebakh berun gfaw.) - Please push the door.

To throw = መወርወር (mewerwer) E.g: ኳሱን ወደ እኔ ወርውር። (Kwasun wede ene werwur.) - Throw the ball to me.

To pull = መጎተት (megotet) Meaning 1: To pull something (active) E.g: ገመዱን ጎትት። (Gemedun gotet.) - Pull the rope.

Meaning 2: To get pulled (passive) E.g: እሱ ተጎተተ። (Esu tegotete.) - He got pulled.

To chase = ማሳደድ (masaded) E.g: ፖሊስ ሌባውን እያሳደደ ነው። (Polis lebawun eyasadedede new.) - The police are chasing the thief.

To flip = መገልበጥ (megelbet)

Meaning 1: To flip something (active) E.g: ፓንኬኩን ገልብጠው። (Pankekun gelbetew.) - Flip the pancake.

Meaning 2: To get capsized/flipped over (passive) E.g: ጀልባው ተገለበጠ። (Jelbaw tegelebet'e.) - The boat capsized/flipped over. Don't forget to follow us to get more Amharic lessons.
