(  Ꮺ  )   he  wanted  to  take  a  quick  break  before  he  got  back  to  emails,  and  grabbing  coffee  and  a  quick  bite  had  seemed  like  it  would  be  the  best  option.  adam  frequently  forgot  that  other  people  also  took  breaks  around  this  time,  and  he  was  used  to  not  seeing  others  when  he  usually  sat  in  his  home  office  getting  things  done.  “  are  you  sure  you  don't  mind  ?  i  don't  mind  doing  another  driveby  for  an  empty  table  or  waiting.  ”

flynn had never been the kind of person interested in going to an exclusive club or fancy bar. he'd much rather go to a dive bar or some hole in the wall. he didn't care about being recognized because yeah, people should be recognizing him with the talent he brought to his group effortlessly. and there were always more things happening at these seedy bars compared to the ones his peers tended to frequent. he didn't have to be proper at these sorts of places and he liked being able to goof and fuck around. he leaned his arm against the bar while he drank his vodka soda. when he noticed a familiar face, he nodded in acknowledgement. " what's a pretty girl like you doing in a place like this ? " he asks. " you know, it's not that safe here. there are people like me loitering around. " he smirks.

(  Ꮺ  )   “  funny  enough,  i  think  you're  the  least  scary  person  i've  seen  tonight.  ”  asia  knew  him  like  someone  knows  someone  walking  through  a  school,  sometimes  in  the  same  classes  and  shared  some  of  the  same  friends,  but  everyone  knew  who  the  class  clown  was.  she  was  happy  there  were  other  people  on  the  label  that  had  enough  going  on  to  overshadow  the  things  that  she  was  doing.  she  wasn't  there  just  because  she  needed  something  to  do  on  a  sunday  night,  trying  to  meet  up  with  someone  under  the  table  without  the  paparazzi  around.  her  hoodie  was  normal,  but  sweat  pants  and  glammed  down  wasn't  for  her.  “  what  are  you  doing  here  ?  this  seems  like  a  tame  place  for  you  to  be.  ”  

(  Ꮺ  )   he'd  walked  in  and  wanted  to  go  home  barely  an  hour  into  it  all.  adam  saw  his  money  going  down  the  drain,  the  call  from  their  mother  for  one  last  favor  one  that  he'd  done  out  of  guilt  and  feeling  family  obligation.  he'd  been  trying  to  think  of  an  excuse  since  then,  more  quiet  than  his  usual  not  that  anyone  had  picked  up  on  it.  he'd  walked  out  when  it  all  became  too  much  and  the  resentment  could  grow  more,  too  late,  and  the  silence  of  the  water  against  the  stone  of  the  pool  was  better  company.  adam  looked  at  the  offer  before  he  shook  his  head.  his  frown  showed  for  a  second  it  was  gone  again.  “  yeah.  they're  something.  ”  he  didn't  have  anything  else  to  say  about  it.  but  he  didn't  have  much  to  say  about  any  of  his  family  anymore  and  he  didn't  know  what  to  do  with  that.  “  how  are  you  feeling  ?  ”

(  Ꮺ  )   “ oh,  yeah.  germany. how  was it ? ”  she'd  left  halfway  through  the  trip  for  appearances  and  shows,  but  pictures  from  it  had  made  her  wished  that  she'd  been  able  to  stay  for  longer.  “  did  you  get  to  see  the  dragons  or  unicorns ?  people  said  they  were  really  cool.  ”  she  would've  liked  to  have  been  able  to  spend  more  time  with  the  knights,  personally,  but  to  each  their  own.

(  Ꮺ  )  adam  liked  to  pretend  that  he  didn't  want  to  hear  the  rumors  that  went  around  about  him,  but  something  in  him  always  wanted  to  know.  people  talked  when  they  thought  no  one  important  was  listening  and  he  had  a  reason  now  to  try  to  listen  more.  “ hey.  ”  he  greeted  as  response,  looking  at  the  bartender  briefly.  “ thanks.  were  they  saying  anything  good ? ”
