Because this is important... I know a lot of women who purposefully sat out yesterday because they feel that "feminism" only applies to white women. The truth is, numbers don't lie. More white women showed up to vote FOR Trump than they did for HRC, that's a fact. I've side eyed a lot of my white, female friends since the election. But I hope yesterday was a starting point. I hope some of you didn't march because you were scared for yourselves, but because you also understand what's at stake for the rest of us. This is gut check time.

A few months ago, I started rewriting Empty Creatures after a year of letting it sit. Got some incredibly in depth feedback (legitimately, it’s 3 pages of unadulterated feedback) from a trusted voice on the most recent draft and I’m feeling more inspired than ever. As I’ve said many times, it’s probably the most personal thing I’ve ever written and this “Blue Draft Era” has been kind of liberating from a creative stand point.
