Regulus whipped around to look at Rita, scowling immediately. “Wasn’t talking to you, don’t peek in on my conversations,” he snapped.

The youngest Black had always been a bit dramatic and Alecto was quite the opposite. She liked straight forward, direct. She would never be one to apologize such as he was doing now. “It’s fine,” Alecto waved off his apology. “I’m about to set this whole library on fire if we are forced to stay here for one more second.”

Regulus was slightly shocked that Alecto didn’t keep her sour attitude focused on him, and that she blew his apology off so easily, but it shouldn’t’ve really surprised him -- she wasn’t often one for apologies. He smirked ever so lightly at her comments, nodding in agreement. “Might as well just do it, I would be happy to burn to my death right about now.”

“Come on, little cous’. Wipe that sour look from your face. It isn’t as though ol’ Burgy is the most festive. You’re better off with family that cannot only create your path in life— but walk with you along it. Which is where I come in.”

Regulus put on the widest, most sarcastically fake he could possibly manage, dropping it for an unamused frown almost immediately. “I don’t wanna drop my sour look, big cous’. It’s almost a permanent look for me.” He smiled ever so softly at her last words, shrugging. “True. But... I was supposed to be talking to dad’s contacts this break, and now it’ll have to wait again which pisses me off.”
