Hidden Secrets

“Your hair is so soft…” 

“It’s too cold! Get back here…” 

“No, I’m not letting you go. It’s too early to get out of bed.” 

“You’re so cute when you pout like that!” 

“C’mere, you can sit in my lap until I’m done working!” 

“Surprise tickle attack!” 

“Share your jacket, I forgot mine.” 

“Just relax, I’ll wash your hair for you.” 

“I’m not going to stop poking you until you give me some attention.” 

“I didn’t mean to leave you alone for so long—come here, I missed you.” 

“Are you wearing my shirt?” 

“Ssh, you’re safe. I wont let go of you.” 

“What, does that feel good?” 

       Her mask was good– it protected her ( both from getting liquids of unknown source in the face & her identity ), it looked cool, it helped. The only downside Gwen could see was her being unable to rub her eyes, which… was a little bad, yeah, but not too much. Still, she was patrolling all night yesterday, and today the buildings were getting more and more mixed up & blurry ( their colour, and shape, and height, and christ she had no idea in which part of town she was ) by the minute.

      She came to a stop on a particularly low one, just barely having three floors, the fire escape being preferred as her means to get to the ground. She could hear the thunder booming ahead, getting closer, and she shut her eyes. She had no idea where she was, or where to find shelter, or exactly how much her suit could act as an umbrella before she caught an impressive cold.

         At least, it seemed, she wasn’t the only one out there.

咲    He’d just taken a drag of his cigarette as he heard the thunder clap echo throughout the sky. A bad storm was about to come and take them by surprise it seemed. He’d only been in this city for a month and he’d already found it held strange secrets. Nothing he wanted to ferret out however. It was best to leave those secrets alone. At least that was what he thought until one of those very secrets landed beside him.

        Crimson optics quickly took in what details he could without coming off as rude. This might not have been Japan, but he was fairly sure that some rules remained no matter what. It was rude to stare. He averted his gaze letting the cigarette fall into the ashtray. As a rule he preferred to not smoke around women. He picked it up again, crushing it against the plastic surface until the embers faded leaving only a trail of smoke behind.

        “Oi, shouldn’t a lady like you be              at home. Not out here about to                catch a cold?”
