It's my battle ARMOR

Sorry for the late reply as I was totally partying the weekend up, but THANK YOU!!! It was great. There were no cupcakes involved but there were plenty of M&M’s, alcohol and pokemon go tbh

          “I know I’m gonna be fine, but who the hell was that?!”          She hasn’t know the other woman for very long but already, she knows she’s in something deep and there’s no easy way to back out of it, especially when they’re coming at them with guns blazing.           “What’s going on? Who are you, really?”

                     Fuck.          She can feel her heart pounding in her ears and her stomach jumping in her throat. She feels naked without her own gun, vulnerable and exposed in a situation like this. He has all the power here and there isn’t anything she could do about it. Depending on exactly who he is, saying her occupation and what she does could seal the deal for her.           “Who said anything about running?”          She has to play her cards right, do what he says for now. He’s willing to offer an explanation. Maybe he’s a cop. But a cop wouldn’t off another person execution style like that.           Emma takes a few steps out, cursing herself for her attire. Dressing up isn’t something she normally does, but she wanted to experience the night life the U.K. had to offer. Needless to say she was disappointed if this is how her night was going to go. Running in heels would be a feat in and of itself. Plus, the rain caused her dress to stick to her, flattening her hair, and causing a shiver down her spine.           This isn’t the first time she’s seen a dead body and she’s sure it won’t be the last. She doesn’t scream, nor does she acknowledge it as she keeps her eyes on the man standing so picturesque in the rain.            “You offered an explanation. I’m listening.”

I could probably answer this in one go since she’d probably request comfort food as her “death row” meal. Bear Claws are definitely on the list. Her drink of choice would be hot chocolate topped with cinnamon. Grilled cheese is one of Emma’s favorites so that has to be there. She is a stress eater and usually goes for junk food when things just aren’t going her way. Desserts are always a safe bet. Something warm and gooey will also do the trick. Lasagna is one of those things.

          She has a hard time believing just what she’s done. He came at her out of no where, commenting on how sweet she smelled, just like all the others she’s faced. Normally, she’s able to just force them from her with some form of telekinesis, or at least that’s the only way she could describe it. But this time, this time was different. He was so close, his fingers around her neck, his eyes so dark and filled with blood lust.           Staring down at her palm, she curls her fingers and tightens her grip until her nails bite at her skin to remind her that this is real.           “I burned him... with light.”          It was as if the sun erupted from her fingers when she pressed her palm to the vampires face. Hearing him scream was almost satisfying but the light was blinding and before she realized it, he was gone. She can't explain what happened because in truth, she doesn't know. She doesn't know what she is. 

          It’s a bit much for her to grasp but the look in his eyes made her want to believe him, albeit this “truth” he experiences is grim and worries her.           “I believe you think you have... maybe you should take a break, rest for a little while.”

          “You have to understand that what you’re telling me... just sounds surreal. It’s hard to just accept that it’s truth... It’s not that I don’t believe you..”

          Why does he care? Was that even why he asked? Fingers ghost over the split lip and the bruises forming along her face. This isn’t the first time she’s looked like this and she’s certain it won’t be the last. The more she’s known, the greater the risk she faces. This gift of hers isn't a blessing, it's a curse.          “It doesn’t matter… I took care if it.”
