I'm scared she will be
Well, even if she would be, you won't need to worry about that now. You know better now, and she'll never know.
I would like to know when I'm getting people's names wrong what if Dobermann saw that she would kill me on the spot I'd be dead and she'd be standing over.my corpsr.like "THERES A SECOND N IN THERE CADET" and inwoikdnt hear her becuse id obviously be dead Ms. Pozyomka she would have a size 10 Jessica shaped boot
...Surely, you're exaggerating. I've heard nothing but pleasant words about Dobermann's training. She can't be that harsh, can she?
@gunsrus replied to your post β...I wasn't going to say anything.β:
WHY
βWould you prefer I correct every mistake you make!? Typically, most people find that rude!

I am! A very high stung feline! That's me haha! Ha! I am very not ready for anything no I embarrassed myself it's ok I'll live I am fine I'm strong I'm grounded those lectures I got from the three different doctors are coming in handy it's all right.
I'm sorry you got no one. I'm not busy, I'm not good at conversations or hobbies or small talk or in depth analysis or have a particularly good voice or repertoire of knowledge or experience or anything but I can be a present body if you want to hang out..
Ah, is that so? Well, that's alright. I was rather high-strung myself when I first arrived in Zeruertza. Think nothing of it.
Now, now, I'm not about to ask you your qualifications to spend time with me. Do you like to read? Have you often been to the library? We can meet there, if you'd like.
NO! NO YOU DIDNT! Just! Panicked myself, you're welcome though thank you I'm sorry thank you how has your night been.
You're...welcome? Are you alright? You seem frightened. Come to think of it, you seemed frightened at the time, too, but that was rather understandable, all things considered.
I'm restless. Myrtle and Durin aren't yet back from their mission. Istina is sleeping, which is good, as she and her squad had a long day and she could use the rest, and Meteor has taken the other children out camping. I cannot focus on my writing, as I'm worried about Myrtle, and StitchβI mean, Minimalist locked his door and won't answer to my knocking!
Oh yeah I'm going to remember you because your clothes are pretty and you have nice hair and your a really good shot like REALLY GOOD and I will remember that YEA.
It
Oh.
oh god
I GOT YOU. YEA IT HEKPS THANK YOU.
HLPS
HELPS.
THANK YOU HOW ARE YOU.
Eh!? Are you alright? Thank you for your kind words, but did I say something to distress you?
Without really any analogy proper, I think it would be hard to say. I believe the U.S. was similar to Columbia, if I am remembering accurately. My time on Terra was very short, and I do not get there very often. I think "pen-pal" is a very cute way to word it, yes. I will use that one. And there have been a few. I can think of four off of the top of my head.
I don't believe I know a "Myrtle," my introductions to Rhodes' staff is very limited. I know of Sargonian, tangentially, I had some vegetable from there recently, I have it growing in my garden now. You are a sniper? That is quite impressive, I don't believe I know anyone like that.
Though I don't really know many people that use weapons. Let alone firearms. But still. This is unrelated, as I know now you will have to explain more, but you have a gentle dialect despite the directness of your statements. It reads quite nicely, smooth.
Similar to Columbia? I've never been, but I've read plenty of its literature. It seems like a desolate place. Perhaps not physically, but emotionally. Like every genuine word that escapes it, from beneath the discordant wailing of the commercial juggernaut, is a cry for help.
I am nothing special. I was merely taught how to defend myself in my younger years. I fell out of practice in the peace of Zeruertza, but in protecting the little ones in my care, I've had to sharpen my claws once more now that we've left its safety.
Myrtle is one of said group of little ones. She'd be cross with me for calling her that. She's not a child, she says, which may well be trueβbut she acts like one! Ever willing to step boldly ahead into danger, not even with the care to check whether or not she's stepping straight onto a landmine...! She's still on a field mission with Reserve Op Team A4, and I know that Yato and Noir Corne are more than capable of defending them, but I am still wracked with worry that she'll get herself hurt. I pleaded with Kal'tsit to allow me to supervise them, but I was turned down rather harshly. She does not understand the danger Myrtle will get herself into if she's left to her own devices. How can Yato and Noir Corne even properly watch them, with their eyes covered like so!?
...Ahem. Thank you. For the compliment, I mean. I'm a writer, if I'd failed to mention that. My tongue may well take cues from my pen, if only by habit.
Ah, I actually found a good resource! This website, wiktionary, has IPA phonography for many words, and even audio for some. For instance, ΠΏΠΎΠ·ΡΠΌΠΊΠ°.
Well. That's convenient. If there were a resource like this in Zeruertza, it would have been much easier to learn Durish and Sargonian.

YEA I REMEMBER BAYALIR YEA. And you have a very memorable face actually. IN A GOOD WAY. I mean like your face is very recognizable. LIKE IN A GOOD WAY im sorry
How do I pronounce No3Γ«mka? I don't know how you did that I'm sorry.
No need to worry. I'm glad I stand out in others' memories. For better or for worse, I'd rather be remembered than forgotten.
pΙΛzΚ²Ι΅mkΙ would be the IPA pronunciation. I don't know if that's helpful to you, it's been helpful to me because of all the languages I've learned. It's, uh...Pa, like father, zee, ohm, ka. Pa-zee-ohm-ka, with emphasis on the ohm. Does that help?
HI. ADVOTYA.
I checked your blog and saw your name. HI!
Eh, since I'm a Rhodes operator, perhaps it would be less awkward if you called me ΠΏΠΎΠ·ΡΠΌΠΊΠ°...? Or...Pozyomka, if you'd prefer. Do you remember me? It was only the one mission, so I won't take offense if you don't. It was with the Catastrophe Messenger from Bayalir. I was with the survey corps convoy, but if my face and name blended in with the rest I'll forgive you.
Eh!? Hello...!?
Jessica?
Thank you for the initial compliment, I try to be as cordial and respectful as possible, it is the bare minimum. I am from Seattle, which is in the U.S. If you are from a location with neither of those, I can explain them, too. I don't know what "Ursus" is, I don't believe.
Oh, I just read the next sentence. So yes, you don't have a Seattle or a U.S. that is okay, I will ask for analogues to share later. Hydda, Avdotya, I am aware of the basics of Rhodes' field missions, yes. Not to the contents within them, but in the nebulous sense of them. Has it been a good eventful? Have you returned to the ship? If you stay at it, I mean.
Indeed, those names mean nothing to me. Interesting, though. You're familiar with how Rhodes Island conducts its fieldwork, but you're ignorant to one of the largest empires on Terra? Pardon me, that's a little baffling. Still, if we take that at face value, the logical conclusion, then, is that you're a...pen-pal of sorts, perhaps, to one of our operators. I have heard a few of them have made accounts here, from Dr. Kal'tsit.
Still, if you're familiar, I can afford to be less vague. I've been working with the Sargonian survey corps. I'm an independent field operator, of the sniper designation. Most of my work is not so flashy, per my own request. Are you familiar with Myrtle, perhaps? That would save me a lot of explanation.
Hydda, @razorpen and thank you for the follow. I have been preoccupied most of the day, so I apologize for the lateness in getting to a greeting. My name is Hinata, and I hope you are having a good week.
You're very polite. More so than I expected from anyone here. Where are you from? Only the well-to-do in Ursus were so mannerly, and their cordial words dripped with venom.
I'm Avdotya. My week has been eventful, as it frequently is at Rhodes Island. The Durins have all been taking field missionsβah, you wouldn't know what that means, would you? I'll spare you the lengthy elaboration. It's been an anxious week.

W: Ad-vot-ya and Poz-yom-ka...Now that's a pretty pair of names! And me? Nah, president of the human (Are you human?) fanclub here is Quebec. They're gonna be mighty jealous I reckon I got to talk to one 'fore they could, heh.
Annnnd, that's correct! Me 'n the other 25 androids aboard are all explorers and representatives of the humans of the Starship Triskelion! Scoutin' n speakin' for 'em while they look for a new home to settle down in. They uh. Kinda...forget, to give us a ring now 'n then...But no doubt they'd be happy knowin' there's others out there!
Darn, you know, even if they ain't so chatty I wish I could meet other 'droids sometimes. Variety is the spice of life, they do say. Wonder what they look like...
Candid photo y'say? Hmm, now that's a mighty fine idea actually. I should get Echo's good side, or maybe even Vicky's...Anyhow, sounds like they must be some good friends there, these Durins. Good to have friendly neighbors, or so I would imagine. What do you 'n them do for fun in your neck of the woods?
Human...fanclub? Ah, no, I don't believe we are talking about the same thing at all. In Zeruertza, political lines are drawn not between social castes, but between alcoholic beverages. The debates are fierce. Friendships and families often dissolve in their passionate wars.
Fascinating. And...utterly alien to me. In Ursus, machines were scarcely used for more than weapons of war. They were engines of death, leaving but carnage in their wake. It's why I was afraid of the automatons when I came to Zeruertza. Perhaps, if they spoke as well as you, I'd have been less uncomfortable in their presence, but instead their loud and terse speech alarmed and startled me. I never truly was able to relax around them. They were very...spherical, perhaps as an aesthetic choice, and with four limbs. Silvermint would occasionally paint cartoonish faces upon them, perhaps to make them less unsettling. It...had the opposite effect for me.
I mean no offense. The concept is simply...rather new to me.
For...fun? I don't. Not...willingly, at least. The Durins are another story. They're a...rowdy bunch. Thrill-seeking drunkards. They would often drag me along with their festivities, and that would be more than enough for me. I am more than comfortable spending time alone with a book, or with my pen. I'm a writer, if I failed to mention that.
oh!!! sorry to just assume like that... what doea it mean to be an operator? it must be something pretty important or high profile, if you're not supposed to use your real name...?
i mean, all kinds!!! i guess i've been really into this one trading card game called duel monsters lately? for the past umm... year or so, actually?? which is a pretty long time for me to be so into any one si gle game... but it's pretty hard not to be, when so many of my friends are into it too!! both on here and in my world!
hahaa well i can't really say from experience or anything... i'm not exactly an expert on the subject, either. i usually just order whatever my friends are drinking :p
High profile? Not particularly, not in my case. I am merely a surveyor. Rhodes Island, as a pharmaceutical company, collaborates with local governments and Catastrophe Messengers to ensure the safety of construction projects and existing developments. Formally, I am a field operator of the sniper designation, but per my own wishes I see little combat.
A trading card game? I've played plenty of card games, but only with your standard 52-card decks. And...only while drunk. It simply wouldn't be fair to the inebriated Durins otherwise. I'd feel terrible taking their money, even if none of them would be in dire straits without it. ...I digress. If this game has been so popular, it must be good.
Ah. So it's not like Zeruertza. It makes sense that the Durins would be pushier about their alcohols. For them, fence-sitting is absolutely not allowed. You pick a hill, and you die upon itβunless the competitor makes a new drink good enough to draw your allegiance, and then you pick that hill to die upon.
