Hi recently i read ur fic "bat tunnels" and you mentioned you have thoughts but not enough to write more, and that readers are (and i quote) "free to poke me about it on my tumblr tho!"
Also, re the alpha status: being an alpha has more to do with being particularly experienced in battle/ a will to protect. so.
Arceus just thought âOh, natural law says you would have become an alpha.â and thus Ingo was made into an alpha.
Alphas arenât exactly born, though having a parent that is an alpha can increase the chances of becoming one. Just because being surrounded / raised by a really good / experienced fighter is a huge advantage.Â
Ingo beats up kids for fun on the battle subway and is completely merciless in the paths of solitude. He is a Very experienced fighter in the technical sense, even if for a bit he struggles to harness that power.Â
In that sense, Emmet was pretty spot on with assuming Ingo was a Gligar that evolved too soon. Not that Ingo actually evolved per se, but his situation is very much like giving a level 5 gligar 95 rare candies and a razor fang. Also heâs still getting used to his body.
(For the record, yes he knows earthquake.)Â
On that note, Ingo probably. Would not be able to battle on the subway. Not without it being a very strong opponent. With his lack of skill, he has absolutely No Idea how to pull his punches. Also Emmet would feel verrrry uncomfortable putting him in a pokeball- Ingo feels similarly.Â
Ingoâs gliscor might enjoy it after being tested and vaccinated though haha. Tho they might be busy assisting Ingo with being gliscor shaped himself. Especially when Ingo immediately tried to get back to work- not on the lines but administrative work. Unfortunately holding a pen is rather hard with pincers- and even harder when he struggles to adjust his grip strength.Â
The carnage is vast. Many good pens were lost under the claws of a very embarrassed ingo. (Emmet appreciates the effort)
It is temporary though and he will be back to normal eventually. Emmet just has to be very careful about not mentioning that the weirdly large gliscor that followed him out of the tunnels is his brother. His reputation already took a hit after his brotherâs initial disappearance- he doesnât need them questioning his mental health about something he canât prove.Â
(Thankfully Ingo wants to stick by Emmet's side while heâs still in the shape of a gliscor- so usually itâs other people asking about him and Emmet just pointing or saying âthis oneâ when referring to him. Ingo gets the nickname âBossâ for a bit! Both Ingo and Emmet find it funny.)Â
once heâs human again Ingo still has a few habits left over- he looks exactly the same as he once did though. His hearing is better (back to normal human levels without the hearing loss he got working with heavy machinery) and he has a tendency to hiss/chirp to convey things. The last one there is actually just something he picked up after living alone in the mountains with a bunch of cat weasel things. His body language and movements are a bit off for a while, because he Just got used to dealing with a tail and wings and now he has to go back to human arms and legs.Â
Overall things generally just. Go back to normal after a period of adjustment. Ingo and Emmet get to keep running the battle subway and gliscor is sometimes featured on the super singles line.Â
Thatâs⊠all I can think of right now! Absolutely feel free to ask more specific questions!Â
He felt terrible he could not do more. Didnât do more. Heâd been so terribly worried about his lady, heâd left so many others without help and made many lose family membersâŠÂ
He also couldnât leave the galaxy members here- they were already running behind schedule and he hated to delay them further. He also didnât know how well they would be able to keep their nerve. Ingo had seen how nervous they were- he couldnât afford to have any fighting break out because they lashed out.

this is just the healing arc of status effect lost haha. i really wanted to explore it in the main fic! but i probably would have really struggled to finish it if i did. in a separate fic i feel like i can go into more detail with it.
(fair warning, Ingo is still having a Time.)
Ingo was very quick to find out that the food was incredibly different in his home. Elesa had mentioned something about it all being âprocessedâ but it was sort of hard to focus with how horrific he felt.Â
Emmet was right by his side though, gently rubbing his back as he leaned over the toilet (a fascinating and very useful invention!). He felt utterly exhausted after⊠everything that was going on, and he greatly appreciated the support.Â
They spent a moment there just leaning on each other as they sat on the floor. Ingo had the distinct feeling they had done this before.Â
Such feelings were starting to become more and more common the more time he spent with his brother- though it had hardly even been a day.Â
Once ingo had won the battle with arceus and reunited with emmet, Arceus had allowed ingo to say his final goodbyes to his friends before they were both dropped directly onto Elesaâs living room floor.Â
She had been⊠distressed. And mildly angry with emmet, but was quick to wrap them up in a hug, only to panic once she had felt how thin ingo was.Â
The meal had been wonderful even if the outcome was⊠not as nice.
He heard a sigh in the doorway of the bathroom, but didnât bother opening his eyes to see who was there.Â
âSorry boys⊠we really need to get Ingo to a hospital.âÂ
Ingo weakly made a confused sound. He didnât exactly know what a hospital was- and honestly would rather just not move for the next forever.Â
âRight, past- uh. A hospital is where people go to help them feel better.âÂ
Oh⊠so like a medical tent. Ingo⊠really didnât think he would be able to keep down any foul tasting medicine. He leaned more weight onto emmet and groaned out a protest. Emmet just rubbed his back, arms encircling him comfortably.
âSorry,â his brother rested his cheek on Ingoâs head, âwe should. Will help you not be sick again. And they helped me with my head, so they might be able to help you too.âÂ
Ingo grumbled but let himself be pulled up, allowing Emmet to keep them standing. He didnât trust his legs to work right now.Â
âCome on,â Elesa half out a hand, âmy car is just outside, weâll get there really quick and then you can rest, alright?âÂ
ok this is an off shoot from the status effect au- some things are different here though.
one, Ingo remembers a bit more than in the main fic. two, he is actually a bit more traumatized because of this!
took some inspiration from Wayward's AU where akari and irida venture into ingo's mind.
The warden of lady Sneasler seemed rather small next to the lake guardian. Which was odd, because he was the tallest man Irida had ever met.Â
He looked nervous.Â
Akari seemed to puff up her chest a bit- an action Irida knew well from when she worked to gather her own courage when she began leading the clan. âUxie, could we please see into Mr Warden's head.â
And then suddenly the ground pitched beneath her the the warm walls of the professors office melted away to reveal stone walls.Â
Irida looked towards where the other two were, finding laventon stumbling a bit and akari looking around in amazement.Â
Irida could understand why- the view outside the cave was stunning. Sheâd seen many sunsets in the Icelands, glinting off the snow, but this one seemed⊠special in a way she struggled to put to words.Â
The colors were vibrant and the clouds a wonderful fluffy pink. The sky where the sun's light didnât reach twinkled with stars, glimmering in the dark.Â
Was this how her warden saw the world? It was beautiful.Â
âI like sunsets,â a voice said behind her, âI donât think I saw them much before, but now I can every night.âÂ
She turned to see her warden, clad in his usual outfit of a Pearl clan tunic and thick gray pants. Only, there seemed to be an almost⊠shadow around him. Darkness twisted and flattened into a coat like shape with flared cuffs and high collar. It was a bit see through, as if struggling to remain in existence.
thing ive been working on on and off- i wrote a lot of this in just one sitting lol.
it takes a bit of "zombie apocalypse" and "pokerus turns humans to Pokemon" and meshing them together into... this.
âJust a bit longer, my friends,â she murmured to Lopunny and infernape, âwe just need to hold it off.âÂ
The luxray lunged, only to be promptly roundhouse kicked in the jaw by Lopunny. The normal type chitters at it aggressively, and infernape was quick to sock it in the side.Â
Luxray snarled and its fur bristled- giving Zisu just enough time to leap back as it emitted a shockwave of electricity.Â
Lopunny staggered, making Zisu quickly recall it as infernape winced in pain but managed to avoid paralysis.Â
She glanced behind her- the cart was at the gate. Only a few more seconds.Â
She ran a hand over steelixâs ball, but she could practically feel how exhausted it still was behind the apricot.
Alright. It was fine. It would be fine.Â
âInfernape! Stone edge!âÂ
Luxray stumbled away from the sharp stones and screamed again, glaring as the air shimmered around infernape-
âJump back! Quick!âÂ
-who dodged just as a heavy streak of lightning thunders down from the sky, shaking the earth.Â
Infernape was shaking. It wouldnât be able to dodge like that or take another hit. Zisu ground her teeth together.Â
A quick glance behind revealed the cart being most of the way through the gates. She took a deep breath and recalled infernape, turning around and bolting for the gate-Â
The cart was though when she got halfway there, and the luxray didnât sound like it was chasing her-Â
âZISU WATCH OUT!âÂ
She started at warden Ingoâs voice, nearly tripping as the man lunged farward- not aimed at her but-Â
A shinx latched into the wardenâs arm, teeth digging through his coat and tunic. Ingo was quick to grab it by the scruff and toss it away, urging Zisu to continue running into jubalife.Â
She grabed his arm as she went- knowing he would have remained outside of jubalifeâs walls if she didnât drag him inside.Â
The gates slammed behind them, and Zisu panicked a little when Ingo slid to the ground beside her, wheezing as he clutched his chest.Â
She murmured and apology as she scooped him up and rushed into galaxy hall- turning sharply into the medical wing and calling for pesselle.Â
The warden groaned in her arms- and she was painfully aware that it probably wasnât from the wound in his chest.Â
She could feel his skin harden as she clutched him close to her chest. It was to late- but maybe, just maybe-Â
