I falsify hope.

I'm no good company at all.

I smile and sway, in silent nights of summer shade,

I wait in limelight, writing by lamplight

I sigh, saying:

I'm no good company at all.

All shooting star wishes are faked, in savouring the solstice

of you.

Sitting as time casts its shadow on me,

all weary in light of lamp and lime.

I'm no good company at all.

I can only hope he ends it soon.

Yet, I could end blood on blood persecution.

What do you keep in that locket-like brain?

I wonder what you wonder about

in your doll-like well-doer ways.

The years before you, I only knew race-cars and trucks.

I'd look down on my calloused fingers.

How it meant so much to me, to meet you Dolly,

someone who looks over and sees the good.

I knew as long as I was alive,

I'd be proud of that brain, that Dolly Locket.

Whether it be smooth skin, like spring grass;

whether it be long hair, flowing like autumn wind,

I'd be grateful you filled the silences,

branded them not Dolly approved, and spoke them away.

You spoke and you spoke,

the wisdom of the world waltzing in word-form,

dripping from your mouth.

What else could dwell in the Dolly Locket?

Is there a side to your soul, screaming for knowledge?

Tell me, Dolly, what don't you know?

Because I'd follow your instruction:

"Yes Ma'am!"

No questions; no doubts.

Whatever you keep locked in that locket-like brain,

I trust in.

Don't you be a stranger Dolly,

because I admire your mind, mindlessly.

Yknow I'd think about my laziness,

but I'd only get halfway.

but then again, I'd cringe myself out,

Numb Me Out

Sometime I look down at the floor

and I feel like I'm numb inside.

When you're throwing dishes 'cross the room,

and I know this outcry.

It isn't you, isn't something you'd be proud of,

but you're tired of me and slacking off with your boys,

to avoid all the noise — that I'm making.

You've been drinking, haven't ya?

Don't wait for me to get naked so you can apologise.

I've tried to talk to you like a hundred times.

But when you're out with your boys,

you avoid all the noise,

every complaint, on the mistakes,

that you make.

You just take my shit for granted, and then you say—

Everything that you'll say, again, and again,

just like you did before me.

Oh, you say nothing meaningful to me,

no, you just numb me out.
