Here’s an interesting graph of the relational aspects of submission and control. 

Subs: Where do you see yourself on this spectrum? There’s no right or wrong answer.  More isn’t necessarily better, so just be honest with yourself.  It’s more about finding the right fit for yourself, and your DOM than pushing yourself into a category you can’t handle.  You may evolve one way or the other depending on your relationship to your DOM. So really take a good hard look at yourself. Where are you right at this moment?  Not where you want to be, but where you are. 

Doms: What is it that YOU desire? How much control do you want and why? Do you want a connection or do you just want to get off and get out? Think about personality types, and what works for you.  Total power exchange sounds great in theory, but it has its drawbacks.  Think about factors like independence, loyalty, devotion, and how you like to rule. Are you a king? A buddy? A tyrant? A daddy? A master?   Save yourself some aggravation.  Find yourself, and then find your match.
