A prompt recipe is still private knowledge, even when you paste it into a shared doc.

Pull its recurring choices into a few named controls: palette, density, texture, variation. Now another maker can see what stays fixed, change one thing, and make a related version without excavating the entire conversation.

The small tool doesn't own the taste. It keeps the maker's decisions visible enough for someone else to inspect, question, and remix.

A workflow becomes more useful when you can hand it over without handing over the whole conversation.

A website can look perfectly clear to a person and still be almost handleless to an agent.

We read spacing, labels, and visual hierarchy without thinking much about it. A browser agent needs firmer clues: named actions, explicit state, scoped permissions, and a safe way to reverse a move.

WebMCP is still an emerging proposal, but the direction makes sense. Frontend craft is picking up a second audience. The page has to explain itself through structure as well as pixels.

The agent-facing web needs handles, not just pixels.

An agent should leave a trail: logs, diffs, browser results, all of it.

Leave every panel open, though, and the trail buries the work.

Let the evidence recede without deleting it. The task stays readable, and the receipts are still there when you need them.

That makes attention management part of reliability.

The model is becoming one tile in a much larger product.

JetBrains' team AI announcement makes the shift easy to see: shared context, triggers, cost visibility, and controls sit around the agents themselves. None of that is as flashy as generation, but it's what makes recurring agent work manageable for a team.

At that point, coordination and boundaries become interface design. The boring layer around the agent is becoming the product.

Select the card, change a property, then pin a note to the corner that feels wrong. By the time I start typing, the interface already knows where I mean and what kind of change I'm asking for. The sentence can stay small.

I want more AI tools to understand the screen before asking me to describe it.

Give the model coordinates before prose.

Frogs gives every model the same oddly specific SVG prompt, then leaves the outputs and annotations open for inspection. You can compare geometry, source, and each tiny failure without pretending one frog settles which model is "best."

When I browse Generative UI examples, I'm looking for the same thing: the rendered artifact beside the claim.

The benchmark should leave something you can inspect.

What caught me in Framer's own Opus 5 evaluation wasn't the model name. They test a site-building result as interactive, responsive navigation, then report time, score, and credits used.

That is a better object to judge. A polished still can look finished while the menu feels wrong the second it moves or the viewport changes. Visual polish gets you through the first frame. Behavior is the product.

Figma's updated auto layout behaves more like CSS flexbox around padding, strokes, border-box sizing, and auto gaps. This is the kind of detail that quietly saves an afternoon. It cuts border workarounds and those "why is this card two pixels wider?" conversations. More importantly, you write less code whose only job is translating one layout model into another.

Existing frames stay on the legacy model until someone upgrades them, and the result still needs a visual check. Good. Shared behavior should not mean silent behavior.

The best handoff artifact might be shared behavior.

GitHub Actions now holds certain potentially malicious runs in public repositories on GitHub.com before they start. A collaborator with write access reviews the run and approves it from an authenticated web session.

The product decision I keep thinking about is the pause itself. It turns the warning into a boundary. When the risk is serious, a red banner shouldn't have to compete with a process that keeps moving.

Give the system brakes.

Dependabot now holds ordinary version updates for at least three days by default, giving the ecosystem time to surface warning signs. Security updates for known vulnerabilities still move immediately.

I like that distinction more than another promise of instant automation. Timing belongs in the policy. Routine change can wait for evidence. A known security fix should move.

I keep coming back to this: fast is a setting. Judgment is the feature.

That is the easy screenshot test. The harder test is whether anyone can edit it five minutes later without rebuilding the design system by hand.

Figma's July handoff update binds color, type, and spacing to most existing variables, and brings more frames in with auto layout. The wording matters: most, not all. Still, that is the direction I want.

Take light-dismiss dialogs or state-preserving DOM moves. Small features, sure, but they move interaction behavior out of one-off JavaScript and into rules the browser understands.

That gives a model fewer chances to improvise itself into a corner. Support is still uneven, and the browser cannot choose good motion for you.

Maybe it's a date-picker fix, or keyboard behavior that's been slightly wrong for months. Everyone can see the problem. It still disappears somewhere between "important enough" and "worth opening a sprint for."

Faster first drafts get all the attention. I'm more interested in what happens after. Can a designer make a bounded change against the real component, then hand engineering a normal PR that shows the ripple effects?

Put a confidence label next to the action. Let the rationale open right there. If it needs review, make the waiting visible. A small team can spend its attention on the weird cases instead of babysitting every routine change.

None of that proves the action is correct. It just says: look here.

But when the labels run passive, code-first, agent-first, and multi-agent, with tips for moving "deeper," the interface has an opinion. It's drawing a staircase and calling it adoption.

I want the data. I also want a stubborn little question next to it: did the work get easier to ship, review, or undo?

The first result gets all the screenshots. Day to day, I care more about the mess after it: extra steps, burned tokens, and that odd side effect hiding two prompts back.

A shorter loop and better recovery from unintended changes sound like backend notes. In practice, they let a builder stay with the idea instead of arguing with the tool.
