It's a very convenient coincidence that Noel arranged the house and Liam's "transport" all in one day and Patsy just happened to be out of the country. Unless of course Noel pulled out of the tour knowing she would be out of the country and arranged everything so he could spend some time alone with Liam (barely a month after loch lomond btw)

Making a timeline because these are the most insane two months anyone's ever had. Also for me and @glossymint 's fic purposes

[At the start of July, Liam and Patsy get engaged. Noel finds out through rumours and the press. According to Noel, Liam finally tells him in Birmingham, around July 18. From there there's no gigs until Loch Lomond]

August 1 -> Liam and Patsy's engagement is officially made public. (x)

August 2 -> Loch Lomond soundcheck, Liam and Noel have an argument and Noel sees a worker die the night before the show.

August 3 ->First Loch Lomond gig. Interviews with MTV, Liam and Noel do separate interviews, a bit tense. Liam and Noel kiss at the start of the gig.

August 4 -> second Loch Lomond gig

August 10 & 11 -> Knebworth gigs

From August 16 to August 22 -> rehearsals for the MTV Unplugged performance. On the last day Liam and Noel come to blows during the rehearsals, Liam refuses to sing and Oasis rehearses while Liam claps on the front row. (Hewitt, 1997, p.346)

August 23 -> MTV Unplugged performance. Liam refuses to sing due to a sore throat, watches Noel peform from the balcony.

August 27 -> the band arrive at Heathrow airport to set out for a three-week American tour. Liam gets off the plane and the band travel without him. Liam says that he can't travel with the band because he needs to do house hunting for him and Patsy.

Oasis perform in Chicago without Liam, Noel is on vocals.

August 28 -> The gig gets cancelled "for last minute MTV Awards rehearsals". Noel talks to the press, defends Liam's choice to leave the tour and assures that Oasis aren't breaking up.

August 29 -> Liam arrives to the US and is back with the band, says he already sorted out the house and that him and Noel "are sweet"

September 3 -> Rehearsals for the MTV Awards in New York.

September 4 -> Performance at the MTV Awards, every band who performs is interviewed except for Oasis. In response, Liam mocks and swears at the audience, changes the lyrics of Champagne Supernova to "Champagne Supernova up yer bum" and spits on stage.

September 11 -> Before the Charlotte gig, Liam and Noel allegedly come to blows. The gig gets cancelled. One of the rumors that was circulating was that Noel was upset that the Charlotte venue was downsized from Independence Arena to the Charlotte Hornets Training Facility (x). The rest of the US tour is cancelled.

September 12 -> Noel comes back from the US tour, the press is filled with rumours that Oasis is breaking up, lead by The Sun's front cover reporting Oasis had "sensationally split up".

September 13 -> In the morning, Patsy (staying in LA at the time) appears on TV and says: 'I don't know anything. I haven't spoken to Liam. As far as I know, he's on a plane back to London. I'm bewildered by the whole thing.'

In the afternoon, Creation Records and Ignition Management issue a statement saying the band is not breaking up, that Liam and Noel are spending time together and getting over jet lag:

September 21 -> Liam's 24th birthday.

This same day, Melody Maker publishes an article detailing the events of the US tour with quotes by people from Creation. This article also says that: "Noel and Liam left London for a secret location where they met up and were still together as we went to press."

The couple said "I do" at London's Westminster Register Office at 8.30am this morning - with just two friends there, as witnesses. The quiet ceremony was a far cry from the couple's last attempt to walk down the aisle. In February, they planned a lavish bash at a London registry office followed by a church blessing on Valentine's Day. But they called off their big day when the media found out about the ceremony. Today they proved they could escape the spotlight and marry in peace. It's 24-year-old Gallagher's first marriage. Kensit, 29, has been married twice before - to BIG AUDIO DYNAMITE keyboard player DAN DONOVAN and SIMPLE MINDS frontman JIM KERR, with whom she has a four year-old son JAMES who was not at the wedding.

LIAM GALLAGHER has sent a damning snub to his estranged father on his special day - by disowning him on his wedding certificate. The OASIS star insisted the name of his father was left blank on the official form earlier today after he tied the knot with fiancee PATSY KENSIT at Westminster Register Office in London. The 24-year-old rocker's latest snub comes after numerous verbal altercations with his dad TOMMY, who walked out on the family when Liam and his brothers NOEL and PAUL were young. Fiery father and son almost came to blows in Ireland a year ago when Tommy gatecrashed a family get-together at swanky Dublin hotel THE WESTBURY. A family friend says, "Liam swore on that day that Tommy would never play a part in his life no matter what he did to try and make up for all the hurt he'd caused to the family. By not naming Tommy on the marriage certificate, Liam is effectively disowning his old man." Proud Patsy, however, was only too pleased to namecheck her late father JAMES on the wedding certificate. The former convict goes on the official marriage record as a businessman.

LIAM GALLAGHER cut a dapper figure as he ditched his grungy gear for the wedding of the year in London this morning. Wearing a smart designer suit and a shirt and tie, the OASIS star joined fiancee PATSY KENSIT and two pals for a secret breakfast service at Westminster Register Office. And Liam was even prepared to ditch his rock star lifestyle for the weekend - to rise early for the 8.30am ceremony. Superintendent registrar KATHARINE MASON agreed to open the register office an hour early to accommodate the celebrity couple, who had their February wedding plans wrecked when details of the ceremony were leaked to the press. Mason says, "We've opened early before on special occasions for important people." And dream-making Mason also cut out wedding hassles for the couple by arranging flowers for them. At Patsy's request, the registrar decked the Marylebone Road office with purple tulips, yellow chrysanthemums and white lupins - and Mason admits she was delighted with the way everything went. She adds, "They both looked absolutely beautiful and they succeeded in having a very dignified and peaceful wedding, which is what they told me they wanted."

According to Mason, bachelor Liam and twice-married Patsy took great interest in the wording of the short 15-minute ceremony. They arranged that in consultation with her in the weeks leading up to the secret service. The registrar adds, "They chose words most suited to their situation." The couple were joined by witnesses COLIN RADCLIFFE and F GRAHAM at the ceremony - both friends of the new Mr and Mrs Liam Gallagher. One register office source admits the friends looked like the past and future of Liam. She reveals, "One of the guys was wearing a suit and tie like Liam, while the other was - well, let's say less formally dressed." (x)

Liam and Patsy married in secrecy at 8.30 n.m. It was too early for the press photographers and definitely too early for Liam's brother, Noel, who admitted he didn't get up in time. With typically understated charm he said: "It was really too early. I wasn't there. I was in bed."

The statement from Oasis's record company, Creation Records, confirmed the marriage in succinct style. It read: "The couple are extremely happy and very pleased that they've finally been able to tie the knot without any intrusion. No honeymoon is planned." (x)

"They chose that office [Westminster register office] because it is the appropriate one of the area in which they live. They don't want a party because it will be turned into a media circus and they are too busy to go on honeymoon.

"No one knew about this until it happened because they wanted to keep it absolutely secret."

A statement from Creation read: "The couple are extremely happy and very pleased that they've finally been able to tie the knot without any intrusions."

Although Sir Paul McCartney married Linda Eastman at the same office in 1969, Creation denies that had anything to do with the choice of venue by Liam, a lifelong Beatles fan.
