Need help on deciding Kaigara's look once and for all
I designed my take on KawaSara's kids ages ago, if you remember I made an edit a while back of my initial take on what I thought their kid would look like, but have since then changed it because I felt her design looked too similar to a rival ships that was created later on but thats besides the point.
Her clothes are set in stone, I dont need any help with that, what I need help with is the hair and eye combo.
My original design was Kawakis hair colors with Saradas eyes, but then I started contemplating other options because I wasnt really all that enthusiastic about the blonde but thats unfortunately a part of Kawaki's design so it cant be helped. Even so I contemplated the idea of just giving her all black hair, but then she would look mostly like Sarada, so I thought about giving her grey eyes so she'd have a Kawaki feature but since his dad also had all black hair she could just pass for lookin only like Kawaki in that case.
I considered pink but personally I never cared for that look cuz it just makes them look more like an SS kid than KawaSara one. So finally Im just at the point where I cant decide, and so Im asking you guys, fellow fans of the ship, to help me decide.
Personally I prefer her initial concept, Kawaki's hair with Sarada's eyes, but I also like some alternatives, so I pass it on to you all, which of these do you think looks best? or if you have another idea, go head and reply with it.
Update: I’ve finally made up my mind thanks to yalls help and the help of a moot, I finally have a final hair design for Kaigara and here it is
I combined her new hairstyle with her old one I scrapped and this is the result, I actually really like how it turned out, plus its way easier for me to draw/edit consistently than the other one, so this really is the best result in the end and officially her final design.
Once again thank you to everyone who voted, and a special thanks to @brxkxnhxxrtsclxb who gave me the pep talk to not abandon my original design if I really liked it, just tweak it to where Im satisfied with it, so thats what I did, and now Im really happy with the results!

Short fic under the cut. A bit of a post-LOK old people angst. You've been warned.
______
“Well this is nostalgic. I’m surprised you remember at all.”
“Funny enough, I always remembered the moment I had put the flower in your hair that one time.”
“Why is that?”
“Oh it's not important now. Either way, it's nice to wear a different colour once in a while. Especially since we’re in the Earth Kingdom, we need to blend in with everybody. Do you like it?”
“Mm-hm. Says the retired leader of a nation with the very recognisable face and a massive dragon parked outside. Blending in.”
“No one would notice those. Not when I’m with the most beautiful lady in Ba Sing Se.”
“Heh. You’ve gotten better at smooth-talking. An acquired skill from Fire Lording people around, no doubt.”
“Uh-huh. You would’ve realised it sooner if you had made time to reply to my letters during one of those days…”
“Now wait a minute, I—”
“…or come to Caldera or Republic City or your grandchildren’s coming-of-age ceremony…”
“Zuko, please—“
“…or let me come see you for more than five minutes outside of that healing hut. I swear, how many injured people have you got in there.”
“Zuko—”
“In fact, how long has it been since I got to talk with you at all? You’d think Aang had it in his will to have you chained up to Wolf Cove and intercepted all your mail or something.”
“…I’m leaving.”
“Wait, no. Please, Katara.”
“…”
“I’m sorry, it was unfair of me to put you on the spot like that. Especially not when this is the first time we’ve met again in a long while, and I was the one who invited you here.”
“…”
“I just…miss you. That is—uh, Toph also said the same thing.”
“…”
“I understand if you’re feeling upset and need your space. I just wish that you’d consider meeting me again before you leave for the South.”
“…”
“…Please?”
“I’m not upset. Just…tired.”
“Of me?”
“No, never that. It’s been a while, I guess, since I had a conversation with someone who was looking for me. Since, well, since somebody was looking for Katara. Not the Councilwoman, not the Healer, not the wife of Avatar Aang, or the ‘mother’ to all those air acolytes.”
“You mean Bumi, Kya, and Tenzin?”
“No, but don’t get me started on those three.”
“Sounds complicated.”
“It’s not really. But then again, it probably is. It’s a long story.”
“Well, it's a good thing I have all the time in the world.”
“The perks of being old?”
“If you say so. Let me ask for a fresh pot of jasmine first.”
“Ooh, great idea. We’ll be here a while.”
“Thank you—for talking to me again, Katara.”
“I’m the one who should be thanking you.”
I don't actually watch LOK or LOA movie or read the comics, so I don't know if anything I wrote makes sense in-universe. In my head, they don't exist.
Well this year's Zutara Week has been fun. Until next time, pirates.
But I imagine if I'm suddenly forced by The In-Universe's Invisible Powers That Be™️ (it rhymes with shrike) to become virtually strangers with the singular person who had bonded with me over losing our own mothers, who had the only permission to physically touch this big red angry scar on my face, who had hyped me up at my lowest before I asked for forgiveness for the biggest mistake of my life, and whose life I had literally chosen over my own, I'd be hard-pressed to not say a choice of word or two. I regret nothing. We were robbed.
Here from the Kaigara's post. We need fanfics and fanarts both, I've been rereading those 131 fics on ao3 on a loop and I need new materialllll ughhhhhhh raven please give the fics to me, my eyes are parched, they thirst for words preaching kawasara (>_<)
Well I dont have anything complete right now but if you dont mind and are really starved for content, I can give you the snippets of my unfinished fics? Their rough around the edges since they havent gone through the full fine tuning process [I usually write what comes to mind FIRST to get the general idea down and then go back and fine tune it once its done]
But this way even if its not complete, atleast its something new you can feast your eyes on for the time being lol
So if you dont mind that then look under the read more
Title: You can rely on me too
Sarada has been studying and training hard in preperation to be Hokage. She's been so hyper focused on that goal that she hadnt even realized how long her hair had grown during this time, but Kawaki noticed.
As usual he found Sarada training alone at the training field, she didnt notice him right away since she was focusing on hitting the various targets with her shuriken, and she hit every target with perfect percision.
Kawaki could see how proud she was of herself from the bright smile on her face and the little fist pump she did in excitement, it made him chuckle that she was so excited about something that was pretty standard for her. Even when they were younger he saw how talented she was when teaching him shurikenjutsu, and shes only gotten more skilled at it since then.
Sarada finally took notice to him when she heard him laugh.
"Kawaki?"
"Ah...sorry, I didnt interupt you did I?"
"Mm-mm, I was just about to take a break, wanna join me?"
"Sure"
They walked over to a nearby bench and sat down, Sarada wiped the sweat from hear forehead with the back of her hand. Kawaki reached into his pocket and handed her a hanckerchief, it was white with a goldfish pattern on it.
"Here, use this"
"Oh...thank you" Sarada took the hanckerchief and used it to dry the rest of the sweat from her face and neck. When done, she noticed there were the initials K.U stitched on it. While looking at it, she smiled, she was happy that he was able to be accepted as family again.
"What are you smiling for?"
"I was just looking at your initials."
"Oh...Himawari did that, I told her not to but she insisted."
"I see, yeah that sounds like her." Sarada neatly folded the hanckerchief back the way it was and returned it to Kawaki, he took it and put it back into his pocket.
"So did you need something?"
"Ah...no, I just came to see what you were up to."
"Oh...well I was just doing my usual training, before that I was studying."
"Again?"
"Yes again, I need to learn as much as I can to become Hokage."
"I get that but...dont you think your overdoing it?"
"Not at all, if I want to be Hokage then I have to do my best everyday." Sarada looked up, the bright blue sky and shining sun reminded her of Naruto which made her smile.
"I want to be like Nanadaime, someone that never gives up who people can look up to and know that the village is in good hands. So I have to keep getting stronger to protect the village and the people who're important to me, I cant slack off, otherwise...how will anyone be able to rely on me?"
Sarada looked down, a somewhat saddened expression on her face. The wind started to blow, just as the leaves from the trees blew through the air, so did Sarada's long hair.
“…Doesnt that get in the way?” Kawaki changed the subject.
“Huh?”
“Your hair…it’s really long now, doesnt it get in the way?”
“Oh…I’ve been so busy lately I didnt notice”
“Want me to cut it for you?”
Title: Ember
summary:
When beginning his training in nature transformation, Naruto discovers Kawaki has fire nature chakra, remembering how Kakashi sent him to Asuma to help him learn how to use his wind nature chakra, Naruto knows the perfect person who can help Kawaki master his fire release.
----------------
Kawaki had made tremendous progress since asking Naruto to train him in ninjutsu, grasping chakra control and walking up tree's with relative ease in just a single day, Kawaki was anxious for him to teach him Kage Bushin. Naruto did intend to teach Kawaki Kage Bushin in due time, however, there was something else he wanted to teach him first.
The next morning, Kawaki, Naruto, and Boruto all met at the training grounds as usual for his next lesson.
"Todays training will be a bit different than what we've done so far"
"Are you finally gonna teach me Kage Bushin?" Kawaki asked impatiently, Naruto sighed and responded "Not yet" earning an annoyed grumble from Kawaki.
"So what are you going to teach me then?" Kawaki asked bluntly, disappointed that Naruto was delaying his Kage Bushin training once again.
"Today Im going to teach you about nature transformation"
"Nature...transformation?" Kawaki asked, his curiosity piqued.
Naruto gave a brief run down of nature transformation and how its done, Kawaki listened closely to his explanation, still irritated by his delay, but was still intrigued nonetheless.
"Nature transformation is a more advanced form of chakra control that involves the moulding and defining of the nature of one's chakra, altering its properties and characteristics for use in techniques" Kawaki listened attentively to Naruto's explanation, but was clearly losing interest the more it dragged on.
"There are 5 elemental chakra natures, water, fire, earth, wind, and lightning. So for starters-"
"So basically your going to teach me how to do this nature transformation thing?" Kawaki interrupted, impatiently trying to hurry through this so that he could move on to learning Kage Bushin.
"Thats right, but first, we need to determine what your affinity is." Kawaki tilted his head, not sure what Naruto meant by his 'affinity'. He explained further.
"Every person's chakra has an affinity towards one of the 5 basic chakra nature transformations, sometimes ones affinity can be genetic, for example the Uchiha clan have an affinity towards Fire nature" As Naruto said this, Sarada flashed in his mind at the mention of Uchiha.
Naruto continued explaining "One's affinity can be determined using a piece of paper made from a special type of tree that is grown and fed with chakra." Naruto pulled out said piece of paper and held it out to Kawaki.
"So...your going to find out what affinity I have using that piece of paper? is that really possible?" Kawaki questioned, a bit in disbelief that something so simple could determine something so complicated.
Naruto nodded reassuringly "Just take it, and the paper will react according to whichever chakra nature you have" Kawaki hesitated, still in disbelief about the whole thing and reluctantly takes the paper from Naruto.
"So now what?"
"If your chakra nature is wind, the paper will split in two. If your chakra nature is lightning, the paper will wrinkle. If your chakra nature is earth, the paper will turn to dirt and crumble away. If your chakra nature is water, the paper will become wet. And if your chakra nature is fire, the paper will ignite and turn to ash."
Kawaki stared at the paper waiting for a reaction when suddenly it burst into flames. Startled, Kawaki reflexively let go of the paper which burned to ash before hitting the ground. Boruto chuckled at Kawaki's reaction, unable to hold back his laughter, Kawaki glared at him. Naruto also found his reaction amusing and let out a small laugh, much to Kawaki's displeasure.
"It looks like your chakra nature is fire" Naruto smiled at him. Kawaki pouted, finding his smile to be condescending but doesnt say anything.
"So now what?"
"Well if your affinity was wind, Boruto and I could've helped, but fire isnt really my forte."
"So our next step should be finding someone who also has fire nature chakra, and I have just the person in mind who'd be perfect to help" Naruto said, confusing Kawaki, he winked at him hinting at the person he knows but Kawaki doesnt pick up on it. Naruto walks off in the direction of this person and Kawaki and Boruto follow closely behind him.
The three arrive to a secluded place where Sarada was resting and had just finished practicing her Chidori for the day. They approached her, finally getting her to notice them.
"Lord seventh?"
"Hey Sarada, you got a minute? I had a favor I wanted to ask"
"Sure, what do you need?" Sarada swiftly stood up, brushing herself off.
"Im currently teaching Kawaki nature transformation and I just found out that he has a fire affinity, so I was hoping since you also share the same affinity, that maybe you could help give Kawaki some pointers on how use it?" Naruto asked.
"You want me...to teach Kawaki fire style?" Sarada was confused by his unexpected request, but also surprised to hear that she and Kawaki shared the same chakra nature.
"Thats correct"
"Um...not that I have a problem with it but...why me? Im sure there are others more qualified than I am" Sarada asked, curious why Naruto chose her to be Kawaki's teacher when there were others who were far more experienced to teach him, Konohamaru and her father were two people who came to mind.
"Well I figured since the two of you were friends, Kawaki would have an easier time learning from you than someone random" Naruto explained, a big smile on his face. Kawaki looked irritated.
"Tch...of all the people to teach me, you had to pick nosy" Kawaki scoffed, annoyed with Naruto calling them friends again.
"Hey! drop the attitude, did you forget your the one who asked US to help teach you ninjutsu?" Boruto snapped, Naruto intervened.
"Boruto is right Kawaki, if you want me to teach you Kage Bushin, your going to have to fix that bad attitude of yours, thats no way to talk to your teacher." Naruto sighed. Kawaki looked down, its not that he had a problem with Sarada teaching him
Title: Rematch
Warning, if you dont like more angsty stuff then dont read this one
"That day we sparred...we were interrupted before we could settle things"
"Lets settle this with a rematch, no interuptions, if I win you'll stay here and try to make things work with all of us"
"And if you lose?"
"If I lose...then...I'll let you go"
————————————
Sarada was training alone at night at the training grounds and decided to go home now before it got too late.
On her way home she spotted Kawaki walking alone but something was off, the look on his face...she could tell something was really bothering him.
She noticed Kawaki was acting strangely, he kept looking around as if looking for something and seemed to be making a great effort to remain unseen.
‘What is he hiding from? and why is he out here all alone this late at night? was he training as well? but if that was the case...he should be heading home, but instead hes going in the opposite direction….why?’
Sarada pondered for a moment and decided to follow him, also being careful not to be spotted by him. She wanted to know what was going on, but she knew if she had just gone up and asked him, he probably wouldnt have told her anyway.
Sarada kept a good distance between them and thankfully he didnt take notice to her. After a while Sarada finally realized where Kawaki was headed.
'No way...is he...?'
Just as she feared, Kawaki was slowly making his way to the gate leaving the village, still being careful to remain unseen.
"Kawaki!"
Without thinking, Sarada called out to him, surprising him since he hadnt taken notice of her until now.
He quickly turned around and shushed her, but that didnt stop her from questioning him.
"What are doing?"
"This doesnt concern you, go home"
"Are you running away?"
"...."
"I told you that you can rely on me remember? so if somethings bothering you then-"
"I dont remember, just leave me alone" Kawaki cut her off, his words were cold and Sarada could tell he was serious...his mind was made up.
"Go home and forget you ever saw me" he paused for a moment and then continued.
"No...forget you ever even met me" he looked down, his expression was melancholic for a moment before looking back up, his face returning to the more serious unwavering look he had before.
Their eyes meet and Sarada could tell behind his cold exterior that he truly didnt want to leave, but was doing so for reasons he wouldnt share with her...but why? she told him he could rely on her...did he really forget?.
Sarada thought back to everything thats happened so far, searching for an answer, she thought they had become close over their time together as team 7, he's even relied on her several times when he was troubled. By now, she considered him a precious friend and thought that he felt the same.
'After everything we've been through...did it all mean nothing to him? did he truly never care for us at all? no...there has to be more to it than that...'
Kawaki turned around and walked towards the gate again, but there was no way she was allowing him to leave without an explanation. She ran past him and stood infront of him blocking the exit.
"Move"
"Not until you tell me why your leaving, after all we’ve been through how could you just turn your back on us like this!? I thought we were friends!"
"Ha...friends? you sure had a funny way of showing it"
Sarada was surprised, what did he mean by that? she's always been there for him, even when he pushed her away and treated her coldly like he is now, she's always had his back like she said she would.
"What are you talking about? I've always been there for you! even when you were a rude jerk to me, I still reached out to you and said you know you could rely on me"
Kawaki let out a bitter laugh, Sarada was confused by his sudden outburst, what on earth was so funny?
"Rely on you? dont make me laugh" Kawaki stopped laughing and looked her dead in the eye, if looks could kill, she'd definitely be dead right now. The look he gave her sent chills down her spine...what could she have possibly done to deserve such hatred?.
"You've always been there for me? thats bullshit and you know it" Kawaki took a step towards her, reflexively Sarada took a step back.
"Where were you after our battle with Isshiki?" Kawaki took another step forward, Sarada took another step back.
"Where were you when I was all alone, terrified of when Code might appear and destroy everything?" Kawaki took another step forward and again Sarada stepped back.
"Where were you after I got beaten to a pulp by Code and almost killed by that white eyed possessed idiot?" Kawaki took another step forward, looking down at her, there was only a few inches between them now.
"And where were you when I was forced to live with some strange woman for her own sick pleasure, and then brutally 'baptised' by her brother!?"
Sarada's eyes widened, she was frozen in shock. She had seen Kawaki angry before but...not like this. His words stung, each one cutting deeper than the last, she didnt realize how careless she had been up till now...
"Did you come visit me even once in the hospital? no, did you try to comfort me at all when you saw how distraught I was over Code? no, did you even bother to stand up for me when I was being sold off like a piece of meat for the villages benefit? no."
'...'
"You told me I could rely on you, that you wanted to be there for people just like Lord Seventh...and for a while I believed you, I believed I could depend on you, believed I could come to you with my troubles...but when I needed you the most, you werent there."
"The only one you've always been there for without fail…is Boruto"
'Thats not true...'
"Outta my way" Kawaki scoffed and walked past her, bumping her shoulder on his way around her.
'No...he's right...I didnt even try...'
Sarada looked down, clutching her chest, she didnt realize just how much she neglected to be there for him up until now. So much has happened after Isshiki showed up it was hard to keep track of it all. When they had their heated argument during their training, she did take notice that the Code situation was really bothering him but...she didnt realize just how much it was getting to him.
No...she didnt WANT to realize it.
'You might be feeling responsible for...Kara targeting Konoha and dad, but...either way, we cant leave the bad guys free to do whatever they want...right?'
Boruto's words came flooding back into her mind, it was so obvious, and yet...
'Dont carry it all on yourself, lean on us more, we're your friends.'
How could she have been so blind? the signs were all there yet she completely ignored them, brushing them off as his usual outbursts, but it was so much more than that...
Kawaki was almost through the exit now, since Ada and Daemon were in the village, security was more lax now that Code was no longer a major threat to them anymore.
No...she couldnt let him leave like this, she couldnt allow him to leave believing she didnt care about him, that she isnt here for him, she had to let him know that he mattered.
"Kawaki!'
She called out to him but got no response, he ignored her and kept walking. So Sarada ran up to him and grabbed his arm.
"Let go!" Kawaki yanked his arm away, but Sarada tightened her grip.
"Do you remember when we sparred? back then...we were interupted" Sarada looked up at him.
"Lets settle this with a rematch, no interuptions, If I win you'll stay here and stop trying to bare everything on your own"
"And if I win?"
Sarada paused for a bit, she was expecting him to put up more of an argument.
"If you win...then...I'll let you go, and I wont say anything to anyone either"
"Deal"
Sarada was surprised, she didnt expect him to agree to it so easily, but was relieved that he did.
"But theres one other thing I wanna add"
"Whats that?"
"I'll tell you after I win" with that Kawaki lept away heading away from where they were and Sarada followed.
"Where are we going?"
"You'll see"
Kawaki didnt say a word the rest of the way there. Once they arrived she realized it was the place they originally sparred together.
"Dont even think about holding back, unless you wanna get hurt that is. Boruto wont be here to save you this time."
"I wasnt planning to, I can take care of myself"
"I know"
Before she had time to process what he just said, he lunged at her full speed, transforming his arm into a blade and swiping at her. She dodged it and jumped back to avoid his next swing but he quickly transformed his arm again, this time launching multiple projectiles at her, the same ones he used against Boruto when they sparred.
Sarada activated her Sharingan and quickly pulls out her kunai to deflect them and dodged the ones she couldnt. Kawaki transforms his arm once again and shoots a large charged attack at her. Sarada leaps into the air to dodge the blast only to suddenly be surrounded by black rods. She was surprised by this, she's never seen Kawaki use this ability until now. Unable to dodge them while mid air, Sarada is impaled.
Kawaki appears unfazed though, seemingly already aware that she was fine which was quickly proven true once her impaled lifeless body poofed into a log. As the log hit the ground, Sarada swiftly appeared behind him, chidori in hand ready to strike him, but right as she swung at him he suddenly vanished.
Sarada nearly tripped over from the speed she had just thrust at him but quickly regained her balance. She looked all around her trying to find any trace of him but saw nothing, she turned around to see if he was anywhere around her but still saw no sign of him.
Just then Kawaki suddenly appeared behind her, his arm transformed into a blade again and swung at her.
"I wont fall for the same trick twice!"
Sarada quickly pulled out another kunai and blocked it, pushing him back with her other hand and turning around to face him now, she focuses chakra into her fist and punches him which sends him flying. He rolled around on the ground for a bit before poofing into smoke, it was a shadow clone.
"What!?"
The real Kawaki appears behind her exactly where he was before.
"I dont use the same tricks twice."
Kawaki fires a close range blast at her, sending her flying like she did his clone, she had crossed her arms infront of her and tried to tank the blast as best she could but it still hurt like hell. She hit the ground hard and ended up rolling into a tree.
She cried out in pain unsure of what was hurting more in that moment, her arms from the blast, or her head from crashing into the tree, either way the pain was so overwhelming she struggled just to sit up.
Using the mystical palm technique she began to heal her injured arms, Kawaki didnt intervene though and allowed her the chance to recover. While healing her arms Sarada looked up at him, his left eye was black now with yellow triangles and he now had Isshiki's horn. Seeing him like this did frighten her a bit, after all this was her first time witnessing him in this form, it was strange seeing him look so...inhuman.
Seeing him like this made her sad...because this was proof that he indeed wasnt holding back against her. Even if thats what they both agreed to...she couldnt help feeling hurt.
'Chill out, its just sparring, no one's gonna die'
She remembered Kawaki's words from back then, back when he really didnt mean any harm, but now...he was serious. This isnt just sparring this time...but the real deal.
'He isnt holding back anymore...if I dont really give it my all in this fight...he might actually kill me.'
Would he be ok with that? does he even care if she lives or dies?.
"Kawaki...answer me honestly...would you care if I died?"
"Why are you asking me that all of a sudden?"
"Just answer me...if I died here, would you care at all? are you...able to live with that?"
There was a long silence, Kawaki seemed to be thinking it over before answering.
"Only one way to find out"
The way he answered was so cold and emotionless, there was no doubt in her mind that he meant it even though that isnt what she wanted to believe. This realization hurt even worse than the physical injuries she had sustained.
The pain from his words mixed with the guilt and regret for being partially responsible for him turning out this way, for failing to be there when he needed her, failing to protect him when she should've, and failing to see just how much he was suffering on his own. She knew deep down the Kawaki she once knew was still there, and the only way to bring him back before he ends up going down a dark path is by defeating him here and now. She finishes healing her arms and takes a deep breath.
"Kawaki...Im sorry...I wasnt there for you when I should've been...but Im here now, and I swear that I'll never let you down again. Because to me your still...my precious friend"
Kawaki was taken aback, he didnt expect her to apologize, let alone still call him a friend after being so cold to her.
"Thats why...I wont lose!"
Sarada opened her eyes, her two tomoe Sharingan now becoming three, the fierce determination and resolve to save her friend was reflected in her glowing red eyes.
Her eyes locking with his, there was two small tears at the corner of her eyes that she wiped away.
Kawaki was once again taken aback, it was his first time seeing her Sharingan evolve right infront of him. Sarada got back up on her feet and resumed a fighting stance.
"You ready?"
"Yeah"
"Good...lets end this"
The wind blew and the clouds that were previously blocking the moon has now parted, allowing the crescent moons light to illuminate the field.
They both lunged at eachother, as they exchanged blows Sarada took notice that something was different, she was able to see much clearer than before and was even able to somehow predict his movements before he made em, allowing her to keep up with him alot better than she could before.
Kawaki swung his blade at her once again but something was different about it. Before she barely had time to react but suddenly now she could dodge it effortlessly. Somehow she was able to see his attack before he he had even swung at her and dodged accordingly. Sarada continued to dodge all his swings, predicting every move before he made it.
What is going on?
Sarada focuses chakra into her fist again and tries to punch him but he jumps back to avoid it. Suddenly Sarada is surrounded by black rods once again but this time she saw how it actually happened.
"I see...so thats your new trick"
"Hm?"
"You didnt actually vanish earlier, you just shrunk yourself the same way you shrink these rods" it was different somehow. Before, the rods had just appeared out of nowhere, but now she saw them before they appeared at full size. They were small, but then suddenly turned large, how did she not notice that before?.
Sarada quickly pulled out her kunai to deflect the rods and evading them as best she could to avoid critical injuries. She threw the kunai at him and Kawaki smacked it away, she then does handsigns to use Raikyū and fires a large barrage of lightning balls at him, which he also blocked with his arm now transformed into a shield.
Sarada does handsigns again and uses Katon, but Kawaki simply absorbs it with his Karma.
"Tch! danm Karma..."
Ninjutsu and projectile attacks are useless against him, if she was gonna have any chance of winning, then she needed to engage him in close combat.
Sarada lunges at him to close the distance and Kawaki prepares for her attack but is surprised when he realizes she wasnt attempting to attack him, but to put him in a genjutsu. He quickly closed his eyes and looked away from her which gave her the opening she needed to hit him with her chakra enhanced punch. He managed to block it with his ninja tech arm at the last second which absorbed most of the impact, however the force of her punch was so strong most of the shell protecting his arm crumbled away.
Now it was clear to him that she too was serious, he couldnt afford to get hit by one of her punches, even with his fast healing and regeneration, it would still take him quite a while to recover from a blow like that.
End of fics
Sorry the last one is so…intense lol that one was actually based on a prediction I had for the canon before Kawaki’s sudden ‘betrayal’ and the omnipotence bs happened…I had a very…different theory on where the story was goin.
As for fanart I have plenty of unfinished [old] works in that area too that I could show you but again, only if you dont mind cuz just like with the fics, their obviously rough around the edges too since their incomplete without the final touch ups so…if you dont mind and just wanna be fed any little meal you can then heres some exclusive wips [warning, Kawaki’s hair was beating my ass tryin to draw in the past, its still a struggle even now but I’ve gotten better at it, but back then ya girl was struggling so just try to bare with it >.<]

Zuko and Katara sleeping soundly together. Their steam baby starts crying in the middle of the night and Zuko is the one to pick them up and rock them back to sleep. Katara admires them and laughs when zuko says “I rise with the moon now“.
Firstly, why do you think that the idea of Naruto and Sasuke's children would feel really weird to you? And lastly, why would you want the Uzumaki and Uchiha clans remain separate?
Because it's just really awkward. Imagine you're in your 30s and you have a best friend who you've known since you were a toddler, and you now have kids of your own. Wouldn't you feel weird if your kid got with your best friend's kid? I dunno man, I would feel weird if my best friend became my child's father in law. You would then be related to your best friend after decades of not having such a relationship etc... It'd just feel very weird to me.
Because I want the clans to retain their distinct characteristics and abilities. Hagoromo being the combination of Uchiha and Senju/Uzumaki is already more than enough for me.

This time it was by AutumnWeen over on AO3 for her Zutara fic, What Was Left Unsaid. It's a very sweet fic that takes place in the aftermath of The Southern Raiders. So if you want the full context for this illustration, then definitely go read it! And I have it on good authority that she has more fics planned in the near future. :)
Ryogi was the closest Shikadai ever came to having a romantic partner.
I simply love how these two have such good romantic chemistry, even if it only lasted 5 episodes.
They spoke for, at most, a week, probably only 5 days, and yet it was incredible how compatible they were. They understood each other, had similar opinions and common tastes.
There were even scenes and lines that are normally used in romantic scenes, such as Shikamaru asking "Why was Shikadai smiling so much?" And then Shikadai changes the subject, but it was obvious he was thinking about Ryogi. Shikadai isn't someone who gets very attached or even interested, but with Ryogi he seemed really determined. Even though Ryogi hadn't actually said he was going to show up, Shikadai waited for him for two days, until he actually showed up so they could play together.
Later, when Ryogi accidentally drops the Shogi, a gift Shikadai gave him, and Gekko picks it up, there's a scene that's often used to subtly allude to romance; Gekko says that he "understands what's going on between Ryogi and Shikadai," and Ryogi replies defensively, "He means nothing to me."
Furthermore, Shikadai is one of the only characters so far who hasn't shown any romantic interest in anyone, and there isn't any potential character to be his future romantic partner either. Other characters even have options, but Shikadai doesn't, and the closest we've come to that was the Byakuya Gang arc, Shikadai seems somewhat melancholic and mysterious at the end, saying he'll wait for Ryogi to get out of prison. It's a real shame that he never reappeared, and we probably won't hear from him again.
