the idea that grades, a letter on a sheet of paper, can determine the entire future of your career and future education opportunities is so insane and dangerous and the amount of stress that school brings and how it only allows a very few select people to really excel without being incredibly overwhelmed makes my head spin.  like congrats if you make it out of college alive and with all the passion you had going in because so many people sell their actual souls to the system and exit being thousands of dollars in debt.  i can’t even think about this shit it makes me so sad

okay maybe this is just me but like when you’re deep inside of a good book but forced to put it down for a bit does the outside world seem weird and soft and like you find yourself thinking in the author’s voice and even after you’re done with the book there’s like this “book hangover” where you’re still in the writer’s world and seeing the characters and hearing the narrator and stuff feels… different ….
