“Sleep eating?”

“That sounds like a plan though in all honesty, I’m not even hungry. Still, I can’t go without eating. It’s not good.”

Kiernan looked down at her and gavea shy smile, chuckling. “Who gave you an english spanish dictionary? I’ll have to hurt them. Now I cant be slick anymore, Reina.”

“I had to ask until I found someone who could tell me, but I’m not telling who did.” She replied right back, smiling as she noticed he was a little shy about it. “Well, the only time I ever remember you being slick was when you kissed me that first time, and I didn’t like it so much. Remember?”

“Oh it wasn’t my born insurance, that disappeared the second I was disowned. For the past few years, I’ve been taking money out of my parents’ account and into a private one, and I finally have enough to live luxuriously for a lifetime.”

“You were unlucky. I convinced my parents to pass that over to my own account promising I’d be responsible. I had to behave the way they wanted for two summers in a row, but it was worth it. As soon as I turned seventeen I emptied the account, along with my savings and started a separate one from my family’s. Poor folks won’t know what hit them once I tell them I resign the position of my name.”

Kiernan used his large arms to lift her up off the ground in his hug. “I love you too, Reina. You’re just as normal as any other girl around here.” 

“Do you want to know something else?” She asked, opening her eyes while her head was still resting on his shoulder. “... I know you said it first.”

I guess I can do that. But if it’s like really really bad to the point you’re crying or passing out or something I need to take you to the infirmary wing. You can’t fight that.

“If it even gets to that point. Only reason I end up crying is when someone’s watching. It actually doesn’t hurt that badly. It never has at least. Thank you.” She finished, taking one last step to finish the staircase and pulling him into a hug. “I love you, okay? I’m sorry I’m not a normal girlfriend.”

Okay.. what’s the favor?

“Could you just... not react when I get them? I get very self-conscious when I feel you touching me then and it makes it worse. I don’t want you to try and make it better... I just need silence and space.”

Kiernan waited at the top of the steps, holding his hand out. “Talk about what? Valentines day? That was a month ago, babe, you don’t have to worry about it. I mean, like I said, next time, we’ll go slower and maybe you’ll be on top so you can control what’s comfortable for you.”

“No, I know it’s been a month since that happened but I still can’t stop thinking about it. I’m rather mortified by that, I just want a normal life, you know? I mean, I was generally comfortable but then I started thinking of what would happen if my heart fucked up right then and there and it did. It’s usually when I’m with you that I worry it’ll happen and it does... so I need to ask you a favor.”

“Tachycardias? That’s what they’re called.” Clearing her throat as she continued her way upstairs, she talked once more. “I actually wanted to talk about that. And you’re right. I feel really agitated just to think of not feeling agitated. That’s why it didn’t work after the Valentine’s day thing.”

“God bless those born bound insurances.”

“Thank you, I’m very happy to be here. All the drinks are on me, we’re celebrating.”

“Whatever made you flip them off at last?”

“You know, you don’t have to act so prim and proper going up the stairs. I mean, if you have a thing, you get through it and we move on. It’s also why I visit you in your room as much as I can so you dont gave to climb to Gryffindor.” Kiernan wasnt bothered by her moments any longer, as he found it was better to just allow Alice to cope herself into a better state when it occured.

“Prim and proper?” She asked, looking at him. “It’s not prim and proper when I end up panting like a pug at the end of it, shut up.” She added, laughing as she started walking up. “Also... If I have a thing?”
