i wanna bring attention to the final scene of kris walking susie home and the significance of this trope in a chapter that was packed to the gills with what kris dreemurr considers to be 'love'

in tokimeki memorial (which the secret boss' gimmick is a parody of), you can ask your love interest to walk you home and it's a show of romantic interest. you want to ask them to walk home with you to build up your romance with them

yoby references this within the secret boss fight's dating sequence:

im uh not gonna delve into how much the secret boss said about kris' relationship to the soul (they are obviously the 'body mewmew' and the soul is the 'ghost mewmew') but there is also this line:

'let's go back to school' as a romantic date idea by the body mewmew

when susie says 'can you walk me home', we find out she really means the school and castletown

thus that act itself is also considered romantic. the walk home, in kris' eyes, was their special moment, perhaps a bit romantic in their eyes

(and wow is susie not helping the case with lines like THESE)
