Tea and the Ton: My hopes and dreams for Season 3

Why I believe Kate will make an excellent Viscountess and head of the bridgerton family:

She’s smart and not much escapes her. She read Anthony accurately and was right about his motivations for marriage and tried to ‘protect’ Edwina from him.

She’s generous and sensitive and always seems to sense what the people around her need. She’s a nurturer and is always there to comfort her loved ones whether it's Mary, Edwina or Anthony.

She’s also very organised, capable and competent in the way she started to go about Edwina’s match making (the research, planning etc. etc.). She won’t face a lot of issues with the logistical and management aspects of her Viscountess duties, maybe in terms of navigating the ton because she’s still an outsider. Luckily she has Violet and Lady D to guide and mentor her.

She can stand upto Anthony when he’s being unreasonable but also support him when he needs it. They are two peas in a pod, they are both devoted family, fiercely protective and practical. But both of them need to work on communication and need to reach out and ask for help. With their family's support, they will be exemplary heads of the family.

The Bridgerton siblings appear to respect and admire her and she will need their love and trust as she now shares the responsibility of helping them settle down along with Violet and Anthony.

She’s no nonsense and the members of the ton would think twice before crossing her family.

I think Kate will be an example for the ton on how birth/blood has nothing to do with one’s worth and how successful they can be in their role in society. And of course she’ll become famous for being the woman who turned the biggest rake of London into the most devoted family man in the ton. I can’t wait to see Kate become the formidable Viscountess Bridgerton!

And I hope the Kathony love story will be legendary enough to make Gregory become the lovesick idiot that we saw in the books😁
