Finally back at the desk after being sick the last couple of days.

I'm starting to work on my next paper today. The first few days of the writing progress are always the hardest to get through, so I'm trying to be kind to myself and be proud of every sentence I manage to write down while also trying to ignore the looming time pressure.

Back at my home desk, struggling with preparing two different papers.

Things I want to achieve today:

complete outline for one of the two papers

I didn't post anything the last two week because I went on an excursion to the Netherlands and afterwards took some days off to visit my sister who lives in the Netherlands.

Saw a lot of great art, ate a lot of stroopwafels and discovered some very old, very silly tiles.

Had a stress rush this morning and spontaneously decided to go to the library to look into a ~few~ books I can't check out.

I didn't sleep well and was exhausted everyday. Actually, I wanted to reward myself with a quiet, slow week after my presentation, but now it was more about simply surviving than actually relaxing.

The world turned very pretty overnight.

I took the weekend off as a reward for my successful presentation. Today, I already ate some frogs and scheduled some appointments (dentist and hairdresser). I actually need to call two more doctors (nothing serious just check-ups), but I think I've been brave enough for today and will postpone that until later this week.

The rest of this monday will be slow:

do a bit of research for my next presentation in three weeks

read an article for a seminar on thursday

Another one in the books ✅
