locked in (lying)

- his fondness for crepes doesn't stem from anything particularly special or outstanding, but I think it's definitely got something to do with Mafuyu—his brother mentions it during a passing conversation while they were living under the same roof, something something "what things look the least intuitive to cook" (like if you look at it, you can't guess what stuff you'd use to make it)

and Mafuyu was just saying stuff he'd never tried before—because I don't think 5 year old him was very imaginative, except maybe he kind of was because he was bringing up the most convoluted possibilities, and Natsuki goes "I'll show you how to make all those a better way," and of course he eventually does !!!!! And now they have a crepe shop !!!!!!!!!

- on this topic! Natsuki can cook. He can definitely cook, despite not doing that more than like thrice per month because he's always holed up in his workshop and cooking takes too damn long (+ outsourcing ingredients at the JCC ?? when cafeteria stuff is like 5 bucks ???? and instant ramen being both quicker and more convenient ????? HELL no)

I do think he learnt all of it off Google though—which is a perfectly acceptable way to learn how to cook !!!! He just doesn't know like secret tips and tricks or whatever beyond the stuff in online cookbooks, not the way you'd know stuff if you learned how to cook alongside someone else

- brushes his teeth as regularly as someone who camps out in the workspace all the time can. He got a couple milk teeth knocked out as a kid (no prizes for guessing who's fault) and gained some kinda aversion to the feeling of empty spaces where enamel should be—now he gets icked out anytime the possibility of losing permanent adult teeth gets raised

- wasn't actually that much into manga or anime, and still isn't despite shin's recommendations and attempts to sway him into appreciating it (like 80% of his recs are just fucking shoujo titles 😭😭😭 but he likes it when he gets sent screenshots/photos of manga food or recipes)

I think a contributing factor would be watching exactly one episode of food wars during a WPD gathering he got suckered into. The guy sitting next to him enthusiastically, totally genuinely goes "that was SO peak" and Natsuki realises he's gotta get out of there

- I don't think suzuki sensei has ever mentioned Natsuki's alcohol tolerance, but in my heart it's higher than average—not like he really drinks much at all due to the general lack of interest in becoming an alcoholic, so if he was in a friend group (read; younger sakafam members + his newly acquired little siblings + kaji) he'd be the designated driver. Also he definitely passed the JCC-mandated driving courses fast as hell + first try, zero repeats required

x reader stuff (sfw + more friendship than not)

- if you don't mind, he's the type of person to use your phone for basic google searches, even if his own device is right in his pocket. He just picks it up off the desk or whatever surface you've left it on, possibly because of the novelty of having someone around that's happy to let him do so—his parents definitely didn't want him messing with their stuff, Mafuyu would 100% not let him ("use your own phone! I don't want your search history cluttering up my stuff!"), and his classmates/coworkers are sick of it to the point that they'll probably try and whack him

+ might take a scroll through your online shopping cart at times; he'd secretly feel touched anytime he sees something that's obviously intended for him, or things relating to stuff he'd mentioned before in your search history. The kind of guy who'd appreciate seeing his own efforts (in understanding your interests, in this example) reflected in you, essentially

- enjoys napping in your room, especially if it's somewhere between the WPD and his own dorm building. That's a convenient excuse, if it is—if not, he'll just claim that his own dorm is just too cluttered for him to stay there comfortably, even if he has to go out of his way to occupy your space ("can't, my bed's got this pile of prototypes on it. Can I just sleep over this time?" or "let me stay in your dorm a little longer. My room is really dusty—yeah, my own fault for not doing upkeep, I know—have pity on me, 'kay?")
