Ninja vs. Nerd || randynottheninja
The heiress half-smiled as she noticed the object coming to her, instantly jumping and rolling away to another corridor, leaning herself against the wall. They’re here. was what crossed her mind. And they know I am too. Well, good luck, kiddo.
She had no intention of making the first move, however staying there would be idiotic as whoever it was had seen where she went, making her an easy target. Her steps echoed on the empty hall, though not as much as any regular kid, as she had been training to be as silent as possible in the forest. Pacifica didn’t have the crown for lack of effort, at least.
The girl passed on her mind everything she could remember to not be pranked, and all the places that would be safe enough and that she wouldn’t feel cornered in, while still being close enough for the other to follow. Janitor closet? Way too small. Gym? Not close enough, and it was wide open anyway. Classrooms were safe zones as an unspoken rule. Labs were dangerous. The cafeteria it was. She shot the ceiling, colorful splashes making a somewhat straight line in the direction she was going.
The preteen entered the room and stood where she judged a place where she would be able to look at her surroundings while trying to go through the food left in there so to make any kind of trap possible.
Oh, she was good. He could hear her on the move, but only barely. It took practice to be that quiet. He could do it, of course, but he was a Ninja. It was kind of in the job description. But she was also cocky, if the multicolored splats on the ceiling were any indicator. She wasn't trying to hide. She was leading him on, straight to...
He smirked. The cafeteria. Of course. Too bad that he was the master of that realm. But he'd still need to be careful, if he wanted to come out on top. The door was out of the question, and she'd be suspicious if he took too long. Windows were out. That left up.
He scrambled up on top of the lockers, pushing a panel of the ceiling up, and crawling inside. As he'd hoped, there was an open space, letting him sneak right into the lunchroom without anyone noticing. Perfect.
