Season Two/Writing Updates
Hello all!
As we approach the 1-year anniversary of Holmwood Season One, I thought I'd make a post regarding our current position with season two and the future of THF.
First of all, and most excitingly: We have a funding avenue, and we hope to have it locked down by the end of this year. It's not how we would have expected or hoped to fund season two (securing external funding for the arts in the UK is still extremely difficult without a huge name, brand or following behind you, and so self-funding is our only option if we want to complete this series) but we're extremely grateful for it nonetheless.
With that in mind, we have continued to redraft our Season Two scripts, with the aim of having them locked down for production as soon as we have our funding/ cast any additional roles.
At time of writing, Season Two is still about ten episodes long, each about an hour (10k words), and we've just re-locked the first three to send to our editor, Kat.
The rest are approaching the same state of completion, so we're hopeful to have a complete season locked and ready to go as soon as we're able.
Our Jonathan Harker 3rd and Asset #6-centric minisode is on track for release the second week of June, as we're just adding the finishing touches to audio. Watch out for updates and a release announcement in the very near future!
And finally, Fio and I will be making the trek up to Whitby very soon, including our own little journey across the Yorkshire Moors. Expect plenty of photos and maybe a few videos from our trip, as we follow Maddie, Jeremy and the Harkers into the mist and rain! (Should we bring our Dracula skull with us?)

I loveee the idea or rather fact that Enfield is casually stalking Hyde. Those two cousins would find more in common than they think! His fascination is so funny to me HELLO
when I was younger I would daydream about an AMV I could make to Michael Jackson βleave me aloneβ and it would be with these twoβ¦

and Chris being a strong, reliable and worried husband just mend my soulπ₯Ήπ«Άπ»π
basically, i think the general rule of thumb is: if someone REALLY wants the blood thatβs inside of your body, and theyβre likeβ¦ a vampire, or a dracula, or some sort of mansquito, then thatβs probably okay. a dracula and a mansquito are made for removing things like blood and swords from inside your body. thatβs basically fine.
if something wants to get at your blood, and theyβre, say, some kind of murdersaurus, or maybe a really big frog, thatβs where the problems start to arise. a really frog is not made for removing blood, and your blood knows this, which is why it is so vehement about wanting to stay IN your body instead of coming out.Β
unfortunately this will not deter a really big frog, because a really big frog is full of things like prizes, and value, and quite a lot of hatred, and it would REALLY rather like to replace any and all of those things with your blood, and basically by any means possible.
These words scan with a fantastic degree of confidence considering that together they make no sense at all
