Sakazuki insists on being there with his partner for the delivery. He wonāt be the type of father who will stand there with a camera and film the whole ordeal, no. Neither him nor his partner want a video of his partner screaming their lungs out in pain. He is the type of father who will stand next to his partnerās bed in silence, holding their hand, not minding if they squeeze too tightly. Heās a strong man, he can handle it.
He wonāt utter any words of encouragement to his partner during their delivery not will he remove sweaty strands of hair out of his partnerās face. He is just there, giving them comfort just with his presence. He will also have a close eye on the doctor, ready to scold them if they hurt his partner. When his baby is delivered and his partner is holding it in their arms for the first time he feels the pressure slowly leave his body as he watches them both. The baby is crying which is a good sign. But he never doubted his baby will be a fighter in the first place.
Up until this point he is happy but rather distant with the whole situation. He Immedeatly falls in love with his baby and a small smile is on his face, forgetting everything around him for a moment.

When his baby is delivered he will let his partner go first, just watching the both of them be happy together, smiling to himself to see them happy. He watches his baby cry, giggle, fall asleep ā all in the matter of minutes. When his partner is ready he will take the baby from them to give them some rest, holding it in his arms and smiling lovingly.

He takes the baby to work and has a baby sitter there when he needs to get work done. The admirals and vice admirals are very supportive and often come to see the baby or bring him things he would need since he doesnāt know much about children. When the baby is finally asleep, he would sit on his porch, looking at his garden as heād reminisce about how his S/O and him metā¦got married and had so many hopes and dreams for their child and heād have to carry out on his own now.

Itās taking its toll on him and he barely can even sleepā¦everything reminds him of his S/O and once again he lost another family member. He drinks a lot to drown his sorrows and tries to get back to reality but itās just too much to handle. Slowly, he starts easing back to normal and be in his kidās life too.

He would hear the news that would shatter him completely. They were the only family he ever had and now they were taken away from him. His throat was burning as he tried suppressing his screams of anguish and his tears. It felt like he couldnāt breathe, like all the life was being sucked out of him and that he couldnāt do anything to stop it. He thought everything was fine with the pregnancy, that they were both safe and healthy. His thoughts would be thankfully interrupted when his child was brought to him, all wrapped up in a blanket.
