𑁯 𓂂 GIAS BOOK 7 CARD AND OUTFIT IS SO STINKING COOL UGH😭😭😭😭😭 what are the implications and overall story for his dream 🧐🧐🧐
YEEEEEE THANKS! also wow you really are making me pull out the lore books— as incomplete as they are.
gia's book 7 dream has grim and silver sneak into a concert backstage to meet with gia, who’s the lead guitarist in the biggest metal band in the (non-magic) world, (though not without silver and grim nosediving into @tixdixl’s alphonse eos in the middle of the dream hallway). they initially think silver and alphonse are just a fans, and that grim is a normal (if weird looking) cat they’ve named after the band’s mascot— chimera grim
they humor the two for a bit, and when grim speaks it does surprise them enough to start the waking up process, but it’s rationalized as a really advanced animatronic (and after alphonse walks through a wall, that he’s silver’s hologram ai boyfriend)
grim is initially extremely saddened by gia’s lack of recognition, but silver points out gia must still remember their bond deep in their subconscious because he’s the face of the band
gia’s darkness likely manifests as a swarm of fans that attempt to crowd them out, silver rallies grim into defending gia before they’re dragged deeper into the dream
grim goes absolutely ham with his fire, well on the way of burning everything down and trying to call out to gia and i do think gia tries to fight silver because they think he’s obsessed and spiraled into a delusion and his stupid ass robot thing is going to bring the venue on top of them
which is how silver finds out gia's got HANDS, he feels the left side of his face explode and it totally rings his bell. like he turns the tide, but like, he's truly discombobulated for like 2 seconds and has to go to straight defense for a bit as he regains his bearings
but it is GRIM who snaps gia out of it, breaking them out of it when he yells out that they had promised they'd never forget about him again (this is back in book 6)
its a whole thing calling back to gia jumping into tartarus to rescue grim and now its his turn to save his henchie.
when gia wakes up, they are B I G mad at malleus, which pushes them through the rest of book 7
i feel like i dont really touch on it enough, but i do think about how gia's dynamic with grim goes from "this feels like someone's plopped their pet onto my lap and expects me to take care of it. im gonna do it, but im largely unattached." to "i will singlehandedly make sure your name is engraved across history books and your statue stands proud and gleaming, admired by future generations"
