Here’s a character I have posted before: Maoilíosa O’Connor, known in the Veil as The Phoenix.

In his life, Maoilíosa was a student in Uni, when he fell in love with his classmate, which ultimately resulted in his death.

This is my oc! I wanted to capture in this common fear of the dark and spirits that veterans all throughout time have experienced.

I’m not a veteran. I know so many who have been to war, a lot of which were in my own family. Some were stuck in the violence and others had learned to find peace.

Temperance.

This is a redraw of a tarot card I once tried to reimagine, though I can’t find the original card design now, a lot has changed since I drew the first one, here:

Yes, as you can see. A lot has changed, not only in the effort of the piece, color scheme changes, and more detailed depth into the environment; but also in how I represent myself. In the earlier version [red toga], I have only the little horns to lend credit to my satyr ‘kinship’, even though it’s cringe (not so much kinship, as being a human is difficult but id much rather be a mythical ram-man hybrid than either a human or straight-up animal, yk) and so that’s how I choose to portray myself on the internet most times.

All that’s to also say that that was moreso at the beginning of my Hellenic Polytheistic religious journey—I even wore the scars in drawings; but the newer version is a testament to time, growth, and peace.

Great Apollo, You make me go weak in the knees.

Not because You shot an arrow of sickness at me.

The sun shines and You cleanse me with every blink.

Every sqint in the light is my love for You.

You drive Your charriot around my head and make me swim as though You control the waves within my heart.

Godly Apollo, wash me of my sins, teach me what it’s like to die for a country that has abandoned me. For You, surely, have not.

Let the rays of Your heart burn away the thoughts of my own end from my mind.

Let me be wild in the world of my mind. Allow me to expand and express. We will do great things, You and I both know.

So, teach me, in Your way, Your words, let Your thoughtful hands practice through me.

This is the main protagonist of the story I’m writing.
