the past few months have been too much. i wanna take a break.

almost done with my master’s. quit my job back in April. Went on a trip, it was fun. Now I want to move to Portland and chill. Chill in the sense of living in a place where I have electricity and a public transportation system. I don’t ask for much. This island is too stressful. Everything is dysfunctional. Drugs are too easy to get, alcohol is the coping mechanism of most of the population. Suicide rates are high. Most people are too focused on what happens in the USA, e.g. school shootings, killing of black people. But they disregard the problems we have here, like corrupt government and police force. Discrimination against Dominican immigrants. I haven't been hospitalized but a close family member has been interned in the psychiatric hospital twice in 2018. This island is my home and I want to come back but right now I need a break.

i do the same thing every day im so fucking angry i feel like scratching my eyes out, smashing el maldito keyboard or simply pouring a cup of hot coffee over my head
