Geto’s extreme fear and lack of safety and security (from both circumstances and ptsd) is what led to his hateful, violent and deeply prejudiced behavior which is exactly what happens in real life (one example being after global pandemics there are often rises in fascism/conservatism because people are traumatized and scared and become paranoid and hateful to people they view as “other” but psychological studies have always been able to link fear to more conservative beliefs) and it’s infuriating how many people miss these messages when gojo is literally nonstop talking about how to overthrow the old conservative men in power of jujutsu society that refuse to adapt or change but unfortunately it makes sense that people who identify with geto would put the burden onto other people instead of understanding geto’s autonomy in his situation because becoming a racist mass murderer was in fact not the only option but that’s the one he went with and while we can understand that he wasn’t a mentally healthy or well person making these decisions, mental illness or being failed by society is never an excuse to harm others as there are millions of people who are both who not only don’t harm others but advocate and fight to make it better not just for themselves but for others just like gojo.
