Adriel is one of the Ferryman siblings that came out as a tiefling instead of a fetchling due to some covered-up fiendish influence in the bloodline. She wound up as an engineer on one of the family’s airships and eventually ran off with Clo “to be an adventure capitalist or some shit”. In retrospect, it’s sort of like she faked her own death so she could work on her various projects without being bothered??
