It’s National Library Week and we at the farm want to let y’all know we love out local public libraries. Here are a couple of photos of our farm volunteers using tools we borrowed from Curtis Memorial Library in Brunswick, ME.
Soil blocking is awesome. Before we invested in our own soil blocker, we were able to borrow one from the library to try it out. Thanks Curtis for the Library of Things!
Here some volunteers inoculating logs for mushrooms.we bought the spores and borrowed tools from the library to do the inoculating. This is where you drill a hole in the log, shoot in some spores and cover with melted wax. Since we only need the tools for a few days each year, being able to borrow them is really helpful.
P.S. The library also has books.
