Life's a beach

Hanna had every intention of spending her afternoon quietly. A coffee in one hand, her phone in the other, she settled onto a bench and enjoyed the rare moment of peace. That lasted all of five minutes before a familiar voice managed to pull her attention away.

Rafe raised a brow and looked at Hanna. "Can I not see if the space next to you is available for me to sit at?"

"Aw that's cute! I feel like it's a cute date night movie. How are you two, by the way?"

"I'll take your word for it, but those kind of movies tend to usually be good date night movies." He chuckled. "We're doing great. How about you?"

"This place needs to liven up. Where's all the drama, all the scandal?"

"Everyone is probably scared of what Gossip Girl has to say." Rafe looked at Cressida. "Which is pathetic if you ask me."

Maeve perked up as she heard her fiancé voice. A smile tugged at her lips and she went over to him giving him a tight hug. “Hi, handsome.” She leaned up and kissed his cheek. “For you? I always have time. Whatd you get? It smells delicious and Im starving.”

"I brought your favorite from that Thai place." He said with a smile. "Let's go into your office and sit?" He suggested. "We can have some privacy and catch up."

Cressida stood near the edge of the bar, her gaze drifting over the crowd as if she were searching for something more interesting than polite conversation. A faint, knowing smile touched her lips as she lifted her glass, clearly entertained by something no one else seemed to notice.

"It's always been dull here, you're just starting to realize it too."

"I got to watch The Devil Wears Prada 2 in theaters when it came out at the premiere here in the city and oh my gosh, the movie was fucking amazing. Everyone needs to go and see it." @ggstarterblog

"That's really cool, I am planning on taking Maeve to see it, I think she'll really like it."

Mary had been a little out of the loop when it came to the town gossip and where everyone was at, having taking time away to enjoy the perks of being a married woman with her husband and a few friends. So the trip to the coffee shop with a friend was just what the doctor had ordered. " I need to be filled on what has going on, I feel like I've only been to town for work and the parties."

Robin stepped out of the supermarket with two overstuffed paper bags balanced precariously against her chest, her phone wedged between her shoulder and ear. "Yeah, yeah, mission accomplished. Got the groceries, more like literally drowning in them but I got them. I'll be home in a few. Bye!" She hung up. Robin adjusted her grip, took one step and walked straight into someone. The bags slipped, groceries tumbling onto the pavement as she scrambled to catch what she could. "Oh my god, I'm so sorry! Did I just full-on tackle you?" @ggstarterblog

Rafe took a step back and looked at Robin. He was quiet for a few moments before he finally said, "Trust me, it takes a lot to knock me down." He bent down to help her pick up some of the groceries that fell.

Imogen needed to run, she hadn't been able to sleep lately, this place was different and she wasn't sure if it was in a good way or a bad way, all she knew was that she had people she could trust here and that Glane wasn't here to help or explain anything. Heading to Central Park, when she stepped foot onto the park grounds, she began to run and wasn't paying attention to where she was going when she ran into someone. "Fuck!" She gasped and took a step back. "I am so sorry." She apologized and looked at the person. "Are you hurt?" Usually she wouldn't care, but she had a feeling she needed more allies than enemies. @ggstarterblog

Rafe took a step back and looked at Imogen. "I'm good." He promised her with a chuckle. "Trust me, someone running into me, isn't the worst fucking thing ever."

The smile on Maeve’s face grew as she heard her fiancé’s voice. “Hi, handsome.” Her arms instantly wrapped around him in return. Hugging him tightly before returning the kiss passionately. The second his lips left hers, her cheeks grew bright red with blush and her smile widened. “I missed you, too, baby. So much.” She nudged her nose against his. “It’s surprisingly beautiful out today.”

"It is, so what do you say we go and enjoy the nice day and maybe rent one of those Swan Boat things? Play tourist and be cheesy?" He suggested.

“Listen, you know Maeve better than anyone else. If you think she’ll love it— Im sure she will.” Skylar assured him, “Have you two been doing good? I need to find something for Issac still. I dont want to go too over boars but, he deserves it.”

"We've been doing great, we're engaged and she is honestly the love of my life." Rafe said with a smile. "I still don't get how I got so damn lucky to have her in my life." He added with a laugh. "What are you thinking about getting for him?"

sofia tensed slightly when she realized that she had been talking to rafe and cleared her throat, looking at the coffee in front of her. "i'm glad you and maeve are great, you seriously do deserve happiness, rafe." she told him. "i'm doing good. staying busy."

"Thank you, Sofia." Rafe said with a nod. "You uh, you're a nurse or something now, right?" He asked. "I know we haven't actually really talked since uh....since that day, but I did hear that through the grape vine."

“And youre absolutely sure you want to get that for them?” Skylar asked the person sitting across from her before she took a bite of her pizza. “Its very nice, dont get me wrong. I just would never have even thought about that for them.” @ggstarterblog

"Do you not think Maeve would like a rose gold diamond tennis bracelet?" Rafe raised a brow at her. "I want to make sure I get her something special and I know Valentine's Day is next month, but I don't want to wait that long."

"i am so exhausted. i just had to work four sixteen hour shifts at the hospital and of course, they all lasted longer than sixteen hours. i'm just glad that i have the next three days off." sofia took a sip of her coffee and exhaled. "anyways, how have you been?" @ggstarterblog

Rafe studied Sofia. She was different than how she was in Kildare, not in a bad way. Manhattan seemed to be working in her favor. "Well I'm glad you've got the next three days off, I hope you get some rest during those days." He told her and shrugged. "I'm doing great. Maeve and I are fantastic. How about you?"
