(To be honest, I might not really be that active on Ike. While I'll try to reply to some of my current roleplays and respond to some things here and there, I don't know if I'll be on much. I'm terribly sorry... My interest in Ike is waning a bit, but it's mostly just that. He's a bit of an iffy muse at this point and it's getting a tad hard to roleplay him.)

Return to the Farthest North ( Kai and Ike )
Kai lowered her head again as her howl ended, eyes wide and searching for any movement on the mountainside. A few light flakes of snow had begun to fall and settle on the top hairs of her coat, winter was making its first appearance in the Northlands. In a week or so, the snow would be stronger and the air ten times colder. Even now, she could feel a subtle chill in the back of her throat.
The shewolf was about to howl again when another, much deeper sound arose into the air, shaking the very branches on the trees. She knew that howl. She would have known it solely on the vibrations that resonated deep in her marrow, even if her ears had failed her. It was a call that responded to her own, coming from the North Eastern side of Ketill. There no words but the message read clearly: " { Who enters this territory?" and ”{ Here I am.}”
" { Ike…}" she held her breath and pressed her shoulder against his side for stability. Without any warning, she let out another cry, leaping off the rock and sprinted down through the trees. Her heart was racing faster than her paws could leave the ground or her head guide her. She raced through the snow guided by a gut instinct the howl had stirred within her marrow.
Tree after tree was marked with a long lost scent and scarred b the claw marks only a descendant of Kveldulf knew to make. Each bound brought her closer and closer to home, hardly a thought of what she would do or say when she arrived.
The wolf’s movements made it seem as if she was carefully observing the area below, scouting for anything that served to interest her. In this case, it was the family and the home she had not seen for such a long time. The blue-haired mercenary smiled to himself behind his scarf, bringing it above his nose after it had slipped down. Yes, he couldn’t ever hope to understand Kai’s feelings but he could definitely sense the strong sentimentality and emotion. For the moment, he stood by, patiently waiting for Kai’s next movements as she would lead him on towards their destination.
Though he shut his eyes for just a moment, letting the cool air brush past his face while leaving a stinging sensation, he was immediately brought back to attention by the sound of another howl from a distance. The noise echoed through the mountains and the trees, reverberating inside of Ike’s head and gave him an odd sense of relief.
Relief that Kai had received a response? It was only an assumption.
Kai rested her shoulder against Ike for support, and the mercenary remained still to allow her to do so. However, it didn’t take long for the wolf to leap forward and make her way through the forested area, leaving Ike behind in her anticipation.
“Wait, Kai!” He called out, reaching his hand towards her but pulled back, sighing rather contently. “She’s… really looking forward to this, I’m guessing. It’s not much of a surprise.”
Thankfully, he didn’t lose her completely when he gave chase, running as fast as he humanly could after the shewolf. Though his friend was significantly faster than he was, the few glimpses of her he saw through the trees were enough for him to keep on her tracks.
“Man… It’s been a while since I’ve traveled through terrain this harsh… Oh, well. All the more experience and training, even.” He muttered to himself.
Just. Sits on the Ike. With that signature cheesy grin of his.
"Roy. Do you mind not doing that?"
Fragments of a forgotten realm
Silver stopped some feet ahead of him, completely cloaked by blades of tall grass. Pain taking over the last fragments of her strength from the wounds all over her body, she settled down in a makeshift nest of folded and creased grass, squishing tightly into a ball. She shook all over, and she blinked away the day light as best as she could.
"I just… want to sleep," she whispered, focusing on Ike’s blurring form in the field. Delusion took over. All semblance of rationality was gone. The wounded and weakened girl had given up. Just like that.
Although the mercenary's appearance was admittedly quite conspicuous with his blue locks, he managed to keep himself well-hidden within the sea of grass that served as their cover from the enemies roaming around the land. Ike looked towards his companion and frowned, knowing that she was still in pain from the injuries that she had sustained. Shaking his head, silently hoping to himself that they would come across something that could help alleviate her pain and treat her wound, he caught up to her and crouched beside her, watching as the girl curled up in a patch of grass.
"As do I, but we're in a tight spot as it is." He breathed heavily, catching his breath before he saw that she seemed to have lost her motivation and energy to get through.
"...Do you want me to carry you? I think I'd be able to bring you someplace safer than out here in the open."
(I swear to god, Ike's so inconsistent as a muse. I should just feed him more meat to get myself more active. Apologies, everyone. :'c)

Return to the Farthest North ( Kai and Ike )
The shewolf stared down from the mountain top that sloped down to where the land eventually spread and met the ocean, her tail wagging like a flag at the mercy of a tempest. The peaked range of mountains formed a high ring around the forest and plains below. This was the Farthest Northlands, the last land anyone could find before meeting a never-ending horizon of waves and saltwater. There were four notable mountains in the range. From west to east, Hrathgar, Aðakán, Jǫrundr, and Ketill stood watch over the descendants of Kveldulf.
The two mercenaries stood on Ketill, the same mountain Kai had crossed when she fled these lands as a young girl. Over a decade had passed since then. ”{ This is it Ike… This is my home.}” she began to shake her head to clear the tears that were forming in her eyes. Feeling overwhelmed with emotion she tossed her head back and began to howl, the sound echoing over the mountain tops. If any of her kinsmen heard, she hoped they would howl in response.
If memory served, her parents’ lodge would not be far from where they stood and be easily reached before dark.
It took a bit of effort on his part to meander through the tight spaces between large rocks to reach where his friend was standing but he eventually made it there, looking down at the base of the mountain with the transformed shewolf. Once Ike finally stood by her side, he took in the sights from their height, whistling once at the breath-taking view.
"I've seen lots throughout my travels but this is really something else." He muttered quietly, breathing into the fabric of his cape dragged over his nose to bring some warmth back to his face. "This is your home, huh?"
Gazing into the far-off horizon formed by the immense body of water that awaited at the bottom of the mountain range, he noticed that Kai tossed her head back and began to howl into the air. He said nothing more and remained silent, letting her do as she pleased. The solemn sound resonated through the mountains, filling his ears as it echoed.
The mercenary couldn't have a complete understanding of her emotions towards returning home after almost an entire decade but at that moment, he could almost feel the raw emotion.
Looking down once more, he could only wait to see where Kai would lead him next.

"Yeah. As in, where my mercenary group conducts its business that isn’t out in the fields." He further clarified.
"Lost then, huh?" The mercenary frowned, standing up from his seat. "I guess I can at least point you in some direction but first, you got a name? I’d like to know where you’re from as well so I can have some ideas…"
"Oh…" she glanced at some people. Then when the guy asked her about her name and where she lived, she answered, "My name is Aiko Gail… I’m from a village called Atlantia, which I don’t think is around here… I’m 19 years old."
"Okay, Aiko. That's a start. Not that I've heard of a village called Atlantia, unfortunately." He muttered, rubbing the back of his neck while delving into even the recesses of his memory to try to see if that name sounded the slightest bit familiar.
Which it wasn't.
"I have a feeling it isn't either. I'll pull up a map if that's alright?" He dug through a shelf that held many rolled parchments before pulling out a larger one that detailed the entire landscape of Crimea. "This is as far as the surrounding area goes. Look through it, see if there's anything you recognize."
"…Crap." The mercenary didn’t even expect to nod off in the strangest of places.
Even stranger, he didn’t expect to encounter himself of all people.
"Eh-? Wait, I’m not dreaming, am I? No, no… I’m not. I’m definitely looking at… myself."
"….Not to freak you out, but…you are looking at yourself. Your future self, to be more exact." He decided to cut out all the details. There was really no point.
"..."
He knew he was looking at himself as surreal as it was. The realization was hard to accept but it gradually dawned upon him. There was really no way to doubt that. The physical resemblance and near identical tone of voice made it almost certain... but how? His future self. His older self, no less?
"I... I'm really not sure what to say. I'm confused. Very confused as to how this can even be possible but I guess I can't quite question that just yet."

The shewolf made a groaning sound as she flopped down next to Ike, ready to pass out.
" It’s been a long day huh?"
"Very."
He muttered without so much as turning around to face Kai.
"Sounds like you haven't been having the best of days either."
"I left those papers somewhere. I know I left them somewhere. Just... not here."

The man dug through a satchel of various consumable herbal medicines that he carried around for practical purposes and pulled out a bundle of herbs.
"What a coincidence that I still have some from my own occasional sleep deprivation problems. Make these into a tea and it'll relax you a bit, make you sleepier even."
