âIs that soâŚ?â
â罪â The serial killer murmured, seemingly I N F A T U A T E D by the information she most unthinkingly gave. âWhat about ânowâ in that caseâŚ? Does the idea of nearby boogeyman SHAKE those thoughts a littleâŚ.?â Heâd slowly rise a pale hand to circulate its long fingers around own bruised throat. âMake the air slightly choppyâŚ?â All the while never - EVER - taking those pitch black eyes off her. âYouâre quite nervous, after all. Itâs rather plain to seeâŚâ
Slowly placing the sketchbook aside, leaning further && reaching in, Envy GRABBED the young girl by her wrist before DRAGGING OFF unto the empty space beside, roughly forcing her to sit. âThere. Isnât that betterâŚ?â However, as strange as it were, those lithe fingers N E V E R released their hold. In fact, they S Q U E E Z E D much tighter, granting subliminal message of a very dangerous situation running its course. âOr, is it only becoming W O R S E, hmâŚ..?âÂ
Even if she tried to struggle or mayhap look away, those morbid && vacant eyes would be SENSED just CRUSHING their sinister gaze against that âprettyâ face; whichever way it decided to turn. From such close proximity, they looked like a pair of endless tunnels && if you decided to be brave enough to look back && search them â-  No. Perhaps it was best not to follow.
Something TRULY WICKED lingered deep inside.Â
âHey, donât fall out on me just yet.â However, that comfort of choices was L O S T the second other hand took hold of her chin && M A D E her look. âThe REAL horror movie hasnât even begun.â He was so close that she could almost see herself in their darkness before - just like that - the youth leaned away && released the chin, now peering back over own shoulder to the earlier spot from before. âThree days, rememberâŚ?âÂ
For a longest time heâd simply stare at it as if seeing S O M E T H I N G lurking within the dark wall of tall trees. âNow that rule applies to YOU too, Iâm afraidâŚâ She should of walked away when she had a chance âJudging by the distance, itâs five more days until âITâ comes close enoughâŚâ Pausing a little to lower his eerie voice into a mere murmur; ââŚ. And one of us DIES.âÂ
It felt as if her breath stuck in her throat for a moment, but Rias swallowed it down, nervousness and fear clear on her features as she nodded slightly.
He was teasing her, she was sure of it now, trying to scare her. And, Rias assured herself, if he was trying to scare her then it must mean everything was in fact actually fine and this was all a joke. It was the only thing that made sense to her.
A tiny squeak, a yelp that she gulped down before it could fully form, escaped her as he latched onto her wrist. Panic made her jerk slightly but he was pulling her down, a lot stronger than he looked or seemed to be, and tugged off balance Rias fell into a sitting position.
Her heart was pounding and her mouth was dry, and as she smiled nervously she tried to convince herself that maybe he was just trying to help. Why ask if it was better or worse, right? She had to swallow several times, and force herself to stop trying to jerk her arm away, but Rias managed to smile again. "Ah... A little... a little of both, actually... You kind of..." She paused, pulling on her arm again. "You kind of spooked me when you moved like that..."
Rias had always thought she was rather brave, that when it came down to it she would fight rather than flee, but now that something scary was happening she seemed to have frozen. Adrenaline flooded her veins, making her tremble, and her skin felt cold where he was looking at her, even if she looked away. He was right, too. Already she felt fuzzy headed.
What was she doing here? How long had she been here? Surely only a few minutes, so why did it feel like hours? As her mind swam in panic he took her chin and Rias went completely still, stiffing in shock as he turned her head.
She stared right into his eyes, her own wide and her pupils blown out enough in fear that it almost looked like her irises were just a ring of bronze. For a moment Rias saw her own reflection, like staring into a black mirror, and then her eyes focused on the eyes behind the reflection. Something was very off, she realized as she leaned forward slightly and frowned, there was something about his eyes that were very off.
The eye contact was broken and Rias blinked, shaking herself as if waking up from a dream. "Three days." She repeated automatically, frowning as she tried to remember what he was referencing. Something in the darkness watching, right?
She bit the inside of her lip until it hurt, until she tasted blood, and finally Rias managed to find the courage to straighten her spine and look serious. "That's five days to figure out something to do then, yeah? Cause I don't know about you but I don't plan on just laying down and dying."
