OK first thing I I think they did a good job, making the video a statement on the over sexualization and exploitation of women in the entertainment industry and showed how male centered and how much the female idols are made to cater towards men and their preferences. We are shown a canonically lesbian character being forced to become a symbol of sexual desire for men, and we see it completely destroys her due to the constant exploitation and erasure of her identity.

I also like how we were able to see a bit more of Mizisua’s relationship and we’re able to understand a bit more of their dynamic. Especially with the restatement of how toxic and codependent their relationship truly is.

In the scene where Mizi is smoking and Sua tries to stop her we see how similar to her fans, she was still views Mizi as something to idolize instead of a person. Similar to idols in our world smoking and drinking are still considered taboo. Sua watching Mizi try to smoke ruins the image of perfection she has in this universe similar to the alnst one.

We also see how similarly to the alnst universe Mizi still turns a blind eye to Sua selling herself short or sabotaging herself to push Mizi’s growth or success, along with Mizi lashing out towards Sua physically and continuing to push her away when Sua then tries to physical physically close distance to them.

We then again get confirmation on how codependent they are when Sua later breaks into whatever facility Mizi is being kept after she’s turned to then kiss her undead body and infect herself. Showing how little regard Sua has for herself and her wellbeing when it comes to Mizi and their relationship as a whole. 

I also wonder if the other rounds will also be statements on large issues in the entertainment industry or in society in general. If they continue to have each round focus on an issue, I’m curious to see what other subjects they will touch on in the future.
