we know the teaser takes place in the future because the tournament is called the Tournament, rather than the Pilgrimage, which is established during Mavuika's Story Quest, which took place after the AQ (and possibly, Mualani having been implied to not be good at using a Kamera prior to the Summer Resort quest, but in the teaser she seems to not have trouble turning it on or positioning herself correctly, unlike Kachina)

Besides Ineffa, another Dragonlord that is mentioned in her AQ, CL-08, also meant to represent this... by becoming the opposite of Xiuhcoatl. While he possibly chained his children to tend the hearth, CL-08 set her daughter, Lianca, away from the hearth to live freely however she so wished.

"The traditions of the Dragonkind" part made me wonder if leaving their homes is actually a tradition for the dragons... If so, it just made the possibility of Xiuhcoatl's programming worse😭 He broke their own tradition so his Dragonlords would forever stay (though one could argue that they were not intended to seek their own paths, as they were AI that he created to oversee their cities.)

(However, despite everything, CL-08 refused to flee from her execution and died a Dragonlord... She was proud to be a Dragonlord, Xiuhcoatl's creation🥲 Alexa play "Die Your Daughter" by Sussanah Joffe.)

Istaroth always messing the timelines because her name IStaroth not IFtaroth (haha get it bcs she wouldn't lounge and do nothing while imagining the course of events bending to her will like "what if Enkanomiya forget their draconic ties" no no she is making that true "Enkanomiya forgets their draconic ties".)

But genuinely, what is her true goal with all these timelines messing? We all agree that she doesn't strike us as a Shade that genuinely uphold the Heavenly Principles. Perhaps some of her interventions do act as a way to maintain the HP's will, but definitely not all...

Regarding that outsider thingy, tbh, I don't think that she's an outlander/Shade that didn't get created by the HP's hands because of the existence of Asmoday. One of the few things that we know for sure about her as per Luna VII is that she missed Asmoday so damn much, if the Lunar Arcana and the whole Temple of Space WQ are to be believed. In Phyiscs, time couldn't exist without space and vice versa. They are fundamentally linked into a single, four-dimensional fabric called spacetime. You cannot have one without the other because motion through space requires time, and time can only be measured by tracking changes in space. If this concept is the same in Genshin, then Istaroth couldn't exist without Asmoday, and so does Asmoday couldn't exist without Istaroth.

Wait, is this also another reason why the Natlan Interlude AQ is called "A Space and Time for You"? It really was about two set of twins... Abyss Sibling and Asmoday, and the Traveler and Istaroth.

What if her goal, just like the Traveler, is to reunite with Asmoday? Of course, it isn't exactly just reuniting with their sibling but also to understand why they act that way. But the most intriguing of all: holy shit, maybe this is how the Lord of the Night managed to stole dragon tech and exploiting CL-03's covenant with proto-Masters of the Night-Wind.

This seems to be a very cruel destiny for the Holy Sovereign. However, there are two things that bother me: "the messenger of the night" (Lord of the Night) was the one who picked the Holy Sovereign despite this pact was made for the dragons... Like, bro they were enemies at this point. How does that make sense?; the last Holy Sovereign, Starcaller/Dinga's mistress cooperated with the dragon who came up with this system, despite her being the one who suffered the most from it and not trusting either the dragons and the Lord of the Night.

I have long suspect that the Lord of the Night had hijacked this system to serve herself. While indeed CL-03's plan sounded cruel to the humans from the start, it doesn't make sense that the Starcaller willingly cooperated with CL-03 if the execution was all that bad. Perhaps, just like how CL-08 looked down upon humans but ended up adopting a child (Lianca) as her own, CL-03 ended up being quite... not exactly fond, but at least agreeable with humans that she didn't wish upon them serious harm. Hell, she even was willing to exchange all her knowledges with them and birthed the Iktomisaurus as the result.

The fact that angels could turn into dragons if they chose power instead of wisdom supported this... According to Nicole's Character Story, the Lord of the Night was the only angel beside Nicole (and Mr. Nine perhaps) that's "still capable of sharing wisdom through language." We know Nicole offered her voice so she could maintain her power and wisdom, but what did the Lord of the Night offered so she could maintain them??? Was her rebuilding the Natlan's Ley Lines through the Night Kingdom enough to redeem her in the HP's eyes? But why then Ronova, who was the one who guided her to build the Night Kingdom, was punished instead?

Perhaps she did get punished and chose power... but somehow still maintained her wisdom? She lost her form but she could control the Night Kingdom... and was recognized, by the HP, as a dragon. Like, imagine a PDF that's transformed into a plain text/.TXT file but the content is still the same. Erstwhile the other Seelies/Dragons' files content were lost or got corrupted in the change, the LotN's file content is still intact, though still recognized by the HP's computer system as a .TXT file. The dragon system that processed .TXT file also recognized her as a .TXT file.

Methinks that The Lord of the Night entered the dream system and it detected her as a dragon. She then reverse-engineered it from within to trap the dragons and change the condition for the human side to have the life force sucked out...

But that's just a theory... A GAME theory...
