This week I am staying in a guest house at my homestay! I have my own tv, oven, refrigerator, and bathroom all to myself! Our two contacts here are so nice and accommodating! Looking forward to the rest of this week!!

On my last day at Solvang, I finally got a chance to walk around the Danish capital of America! It was a beautiful place! I got an apple danish for breakfast and a homemade ice cream cone for second breakfast :) Despite missing a cast member for our last performance due to sickness and the many other illnesses that happened throughout the week, we still had to fantastic performances! Ricky and I went to church this morning at the church that hosted us this week and then said goodbye to our lovely homestay family! We will miss them very much!

Yesterday was our last day of vacation and Ricky and I went to the beach in Ventura, California! It was a beautiful day! So happy I got to hit the beach for a day!

Kris and Robbie took me to see the USS Iowa near their home on the LA Air Force Base. It was lovely to hang out with the family and let Andi take selfies on my phone! Out of about 25, this is definitely her best work :)

For the Fourth of July, Andrew and Liz took me around Hollywood to be a tourist and then to their church Fourth of July party! I picked up a sprite for the party at a GIANT TARGET that had special escalators for shopping carts! And the view from their pastor's house was beautiful!

On our way to LA for our week off we stopped at an authentic fifties diner called Peggy Sue's. They even had a five and dime store (which reminds me of the song in Reefer Madness). Jack's place is right next to Warner Brothers studio and it is a beautiful apartment complex that he is so graciously sharing with us for a couple of days! And what better way to spend a reunion with friends than by playing games like corn hole and giant Jenga at the Golden Road Brewery!? More adventures to come this week! It's only day three!

Staying at the Eureka Hotel and Casino Resort this week in Mesquite, Nevada! It is currently 6 pm and 97 degrees out :) And the high this week is 117!!
