"Oh yeah, I'm jazzed-," Joey teased back, waving a half-hearted hand to demonstrate. This town had always been weird but there was no denying this was the norm now. It always had been, right? Joey wasn't really freaked out by it. Besides, home's home. "You'll have to book Wendy Star for the exposé on how my identity was stolen. Or maybe I'll be possessed. Do we know if ghosts and goblins are real?" Joey let out a little laugh - what a day, huh? "Are we hanging out at your place later?"
There were some things that never changed, and one of those things was the way her best friend could always make her laugh, even when he was hardly trying. Rachel's giggle was bright and familiar, and she shook her head with a small sigh, "Surely not, but it seems like asking for trouble now to deny the impossible. We could be willing them into existence as we speak." Hiking up her bag further up her shoulder, she nodded, pulling out her phone to check the time. "Yup! My mom says she'll be working late, but there should be some leftovers if you wanna snack. Or do you wanna stay for dinner?"
