there isn’t a murder flocking him this time around. it’s just one, with violet in her wings and a keen twinkle in her eye like starlight. she leads him where he needs to go. rose petals sway in the wind as missa enters the nest and finds the beds empty.

eggshells dot the covers and blankets and sheets everywhere he looks. in the middle is a mass of feathers and obsidian stained with amethyst tears. the eggs are gone, and all that remains is a lone, grieving parent.

there’s a time and a place to give into guilt. instead, missa pries open those great, damaged wings with care and phil lets him in. they’re both silent. maybe an apology is shared, slipping out along with escaping tears, but phil’s curling into missa’s embrace and missa holds him close, offering one last moment of comfort for the man that’s protected his family for so long. when they sleep, they dream.

in the next life, a crow follows missa. for some strange reason, he thinks this is familiar. it sticks to his shadows and never strays close, no matter how much missa longs to admire it. nothing he does will bring it closer, so missa stops trying. it’s reassurance, finding its eyes glimmering in the darkness when missa’s alone, that makes it enough.

How the fuck does this work if I post something original and have third party sharing turned off, and then someone has the audacity to do exactly what this hellsite is designed for and reblogs it, but they haven't turned that setting off yet? I'm guessing my content still gets scraped?

No one here wants to be complicit in furthering the vast swathes of godforsaken AI swamps, full of festering, plagiarised garbage. 'We're totally against AI scraping, except for the companies who pay us!' is a fucking cowardly, duplicitous take. Don't pretend that this is a moral stance. It's not. It's about profit. And sure, you need to make profit, but any plan to do it at the expense of your users can absolutely piss off into the sewers. There's no site without us. You need us more than we need you.
