felt like Freddy in that fake bathroom anecdote while drying my hands with a hand-dryer during my exam bathroom break

thought about Freddy pacing around in his ugly ass appartement while I was frantically trying to find any food left in my house

realised I've been looking like an idiot the whole time wearing the long black leather coat I inherited from my great grandpa (it's too big for me) after thinking about Freddy wearing his own trying to look tough and cool but ending up looking like a lost child

Necromancer Ideals

Necromancy is often seen as something that is overtly evil, with little room for nuance. Instead, take time to think about how your necromancer feels about certain concepts. Everyone has morals. What sort of morality does your necromancer align to? How much do they respect the bodies and souls of the dead?

The following are examples of ideals or viewpoints held by necromancers of different alignments in reference to certain questions of morality: the body, the soul, death, undeath, and necromancy. Although necromancy is seen as innately evil, keep in mind that a character might see themselves as good or responsible in their practice.

Regarding the Body

Flesh is a Plaything. (Chaotic) There are so many creative things you can make with flesh through the wonders of necromancy. Add a few arms here, an owlbear head there, and *voila:* A man-spider owlbear.

Flesh is Pain. (Evil) The existence of flesh only brings pain. It can sting, rip, tear, burn, and decay. Relieving a creature of this pain, through death or undeath, is truly a blessing.

Flesh is Memory. (Good) If it has flesh, it still clings to a remnant of its past life. Animating skeletons relieved of flesh or animating carefully embalmed corpses is the respectful thing to do.

Flesh is a Resource. (Lawful) Creatures are  a semi-renewable resource. Living or dead, as long as it is a means to fill an end, you should take it. Need a bridge across a chasm? Those corpses aren’t doing anything, just toss in enough to fill the pit.

Regarding the Soul

Klara and Avery are characters with a lot of similarities, which makes sense as they are version exclusives. Each character puts on a facade, however is truly ruled by the type they specialize in. Klara pretends shes a cutesy, innocent, naive girl whose just happens to be a prodigy in pokemon. In reality, the poison type she specializes in is closer to who she truly is. Shes a toxic, vindictive, nasty, jealous bitch who gets so mad at your strength she cheats to bring you down. Avery pretends hes a classy, fanciful, formal yet strong pokemon trainer, but the psychic type is him inside. Hes truly zany, cocky, a ditz, and has more than a few screws loose. He gets so crazed over you beating him and ends up misinterpreting that as a threat, causing him to cheat.

These character traits are violently visible in their encounter and battle themes. Klara's encounter theme starts of cutesy and innocent, but quickly derails into a wild mess. Youve got harsh guitars and frantic piano slides with a synth i can only describe as goopy. Only a few hints of the original, cutesy instrumentation can still be found. During her battle theme when she becomes the most toxic and wants to knock you down as far as possible, the cutesy music is gone. Harsh brass enters the song at seemingly random places as the song becomes even more frantic. The goopy synth becomes even goopier and the song feels like its trying its hardest to leak inside you and rip you apart like poison.

Avery's encounter theme is quite similar in structure. The themes starts with a baroque, formal-sounding intro but quickly falls apart as well. Weird synths come in as they start flowing in and out between speakers. These sounds mimic the sound of a rotating object around the listener, what could be compared to spiraling. It sounds disorienting and like spiraling into madness, with only a bit of the formality still in the instrumentation. When hes at his loosest and craziest, aka when his battle theme plays, the baroque is gone just like the cutesy sounds in Klara's theme. The synths get weirder, the music more wild, and the percussion, the thing that gives music structure, is absent. Sounds constantly bounce between speakers making an even more disorienting effect than his encounter theme. It truly sounds like youre spiraling, like the psychic type is known for.
