1. I will devote the first point to the age of the Gir. Many consider Gir to be a child and that is why they call the ship problematic. But I'll tell you that Gir is not a child in any way. Gir is a robot with artificial intelligence, so he does not need mental development like a human and immediately has an adult consciousness. The fact that Gir is silly and funny doesn't matter. Anyone can have qualities that are stereotypically attributed to children at the age of majority. Imagine a situation: A person is already 20 years old, but he has a childish character, and another person comes up to him and says: "You can't do any adult things, you look like a child, it's not legal!!!" It's a crazy situation, isn't it? It's the same here.

2. In the second point, I will say about a separate type of people who say: "Gir is a dog!!". Excuse me??? Have you actually watched the series? Gir wears a dog costume from time to time simply because with his height it is easier for him to disguise himself as a dog than as a human. And damn it, even in this costume, he doesn't really look like a dog, he looks more like a furry, considering that he continues to walk on two limbs.

3. In the third point, I will say about the lack of family ties between Zim and Gir. Many people like to say that "Gir and Zim have a relationship like a son and a father, how can you shipping them?". If your brain perceives these two as father and son, for God's sake, but do not forget that this is just a headcanon invented by your head. After all, in the canon, Zim and Gir are partners, but not family. If Zim had created Gir himself, then it might have been a little strange, because if Zim had been having an affair with his own creation, then it really might have resembled incest, but Zim did not create Gir. In general, understand that if you think the relationship between Zim and Gir is family, then to another person they may not seem like that at all, since in fact they are not.
