i finally started reading aaron dembski-bowden’s night lords series recently after putting it off for my horus heresy read through. decided to take a 30k break for 40k. im also reading alongside my partner which is fun

anyways. it’s soooo damn good, wow. i am a couple chapters into part 2 of soul hunter for reference. expect art of the characters sometime in the future because I’m thoroughly obsessed with everyone thus far

I finished Blood Reaver last night and it was very good (though I felt the ending and a couple plot points were a bit rushed). I’m excited to see where the story goes next!!!

had to take a short reading break but I’m back into it and on Void Stalker now, and fuck, I think this book is most likely going to make me cry at least a couple times, seeing where it’s going.

#I love Huron. praying for more Huron content with 11th edition 🙏#please GW 🙏🙏🙏#I should post my Huron drawings sometime when I feel less like shit #but ya good book! I just felt the ending was somewhat rushed #would have liked to see a scene or two more wrapping up the void faring #also one more scene between variel and garreon (but this isn’t really about the ending)#also more Huron scenes (but that’s just because I’m biased)#also i felt like the septimus and octavia stuff needed several more scenes lol. they needed to slow burn for way longer imo #after reading the epilogue I begrudgingly understand why but still. meh #i just feel like they needed to have so many conversations about so many things?? and they just never happened #i do like them together i just feel like the yearning was put aside for a potential pregnancy? plotline and that gives me a bit of an ick #that’s just me tho. I also don’t know what’s to come so who knows #I just want them to talk more #idk I’m just not a big fan of like. summary style endings?#which wasn’t exactly what happened but it kinda was #just me though!!!#I still really enjoyed the read #just the ending threw me a little #also I can’t lie I would have liked to see more Ruven scenes he was so fucking funny #I LOVED THE EXALTED SOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH #GREAT character. so much fun #rip diva!!!#it was nice to see Vandred too. I would have enjoyed to see more of that dynamic honestly #like the whole conversation where Cyrion explains that vandred is long gone and experiencing fear?? what happened #i want to know what the trigger was for him #why did he start fighting back #he could have been the whole time but like. that doesn’t explain what cyrion felt in him #there were a couple things that happened that I feel could have had more time spent on them #again: good book tho. just fell short in a couple areas. esp the finale (FOR ME)#thoughts
