Not much is known about Father Mészáros, Like many people in gotham, he too has a secret. What is he hiding? What has he done? He’s only seen as a man of God other than just a man, but he’s no better than the rest.

Born Augustus Antonius Mészáros in Budapest, Hungary he was raised in a very poor home but with the Riches of Faith and Tradition. His family has been through the ups and downs that life in Hungary had to offer due to communism and other acts of violence against their people, but, as much as possible, Augustus was protected from such things. Growing up as a little boy with little to no food to feed his family of six, (father mother, grandmother, two sisters and a brother) He began to follow in the footsteps of his eldest brother, Balazs Mészáros. Balazs, at the time a was apart of a group of reckless men, stealing & robbing whatever they could, they called themselves reapers which wasn’t quite form fitting just for simple petty theft. But as the gang began to grow, so did their affiliations, now growing up in an environment surrounded by the real gangs who not only steal but killed and destroyed, Augustus found himself in a place where he had to assimilate. He was smaller than most of everybody, able to go unseen due to his small frame and could fit into places other folks can’t.  Needless to say, Augustus grown up to be 16 and 18 and then to the age of 22 , which became the peak of his ungodly career.

He found himself in a very dark place with rage boiling up in his stomach, Life was still complicated and so was he. He’d drive his fist through the walls and sometimes attack his own people, but that fearless behavior is what earned himself the seat at the reapers table. All grown up Mészáros , His last name, meaning the butcher, has never fitted so well. Taking his rage out on the innocent (those with wallets) and others not so innocent, Throughout Budapest and other cities of Hungary he was known as “Bloody fist, Mészáros” .  He wasn’t proud of it,  it isn’t something to be proud of, because of his reckless behavior it caused him the life of his sisters, killed in attempt for him to be killed, he lived with that pain ever since. Finding that the image he’s built for himself in Hungary wasn’t one he wanted to be seen as, he returned to the riches of what his family one stood by, Tradition & faith.

By the age of 26, Augustus Mészáros moved to the united states with nothing but the clothes on his back and faith that he could find somewhere to stay. Specifically he settled down in Gotham City, his grandmother would tell him stories as to how her sister escaped hungry when the communist attacked, She says she went to a City named Gotham which wasn’t better but surely wasn’t worse. His grand aunt, Whos name was Cecilia Kurucz , kept writing letters until one day they stopped, the last letter consisted of her telling how she birthed a child, a beautiful one, but she has now fell sick of some illness, she’s unable to seek the treatment she needs & to pray for her. Cecilia Passed away. Now her child was a girl as well, Charity Madison who lived a life with only her Father, Ronald Madison, years into Charity Madison’s adulthood she became a  nurse and soon gotten married and had a child of her own as well, Faith Falcone. His cousin whom is alive and living as of now, still resided in Gotham City.  It was months before Augustus actually ever met his cousin, and when he did she was just as surprised. Through the span of a few months, Augustus and Faith began to form a  tight bond, He’s told her things about his past but left out the bloody areas. Faith seemed to be  normal girl, ambitions like anyone else nonetheless and a advent believer in the gospels of christ. Because of Faith Falcone , Augustus returned to the roots of his peoples religion and began to go to a small Catholic church. Seeing that he wasn’t an upright man and that he’s committed multiple sins & murder, Augustus has spent the rest of his life trying to make up for it. Growing a bigger interest in Catholicism, Augustus then decided to invest into his own church, he began small with the financial backing up of his Cousin Faith Falcone.  he bought a church in the heart of Gotham so everyone would , “feel closer to god”. Just by his charisma and striking looks, people began to attend his services. As gotham news reports put it,  Cathedral of Saint Paul, Church is one the fastest growing Churches to ever develop in Gotham and it houses many Gotham celebs, businessmen , rich poor and everyone in between.

Though it was perceived as good, there was a rumor that sprouted surrounding the Father & a member of the Church, Jaylah Danse. She first came to him seeking spiritual aid during the time she lost her child from an attempted murder and relationship with her husband began to strain. Jaylah at the time has isolated herself for months on end and neglected her physical and mental needs knowing she was very ill. Once she gathered the strength to now seek another form of comfort, The father was the one to get it from. Their relationship started off like any regular one, he consoled with her on multiple occasions, but there was a case in time he fell short of the glory. It was a confusing time for the both of them and he was tempted, Augustus has slept with Jaylah danse on a few occasions but they since then “Broke” things off. He remains an important figure in her life whom she still visits and speaks to, But the Rumors about an Adulterous Priest are not incorrect but still unconfirmed to the media.
