one of these days i’ll be back.  i’ve had the urge to write lately.  might start writing a bit more on discord before returning here.  please note that some muses shall be removed from my list out of comfort.  one of these muses that will be removed will be BAKUGOU.  i will only write him exclusively with friends.  meaning he will no longer be available to write with unless you message me beforehand about it.

thank you all for being patient with me.  i’ll be back within a few weeks. i graduate next month on the 17th with my associates in criminology so i’ll be on break for a month or two before going back for my bachelors.

hello everyone.  it’s been a few weeks since i last posted on this blog.  i have not been feeling very motivated or emotionally well lately so i’ve been away from writing.  i cannot say for sure when i’ll return and can make no promises that i WILL return.  i love the community and had a lot of fun writing with all of you,  but i cannot find the time or energy to sit down and write.  you will be unable to find me on other blogs as i have not moved fandoms.  if you would like to contact me outside of tumblr,  i can provide my discord to you.

until i am successfully active,  i will not be around much.  i may post replies when the muse hits but for now  ---   this blog is on a hiatus. to those who are waiting for replies,  feel free to drop the thread you had with me if you do not want to wait for a reply or want to respond to a blog who is on hiatus.  i will not mind.  we can always pick the thread back up when i return or create a new one.  i will not delete any threads in my drafts for right now.  thank you all for being apart of my writing period and even just writing with me  !  i had so much fun here but it is my time to leave until i am ready to come back.

   ❛ Seriously?! I thought tickets were SOLD out. ❜ Kaminari would excitedly interject, wrapping his arms tightly around his boyfriend’s neck. He’d heard great reviews about the upcoming movie, but never anticipated seeing it on OPENING night. How exciting, the blonde didn’t think he’d have plans for Valentine’s day— but if Shindo insisted on spoiling him, who was he to REFUSE?

   ❛ I wonder what I should WEAR. If it’s someplace fancy I’ll have to go all out! ❜ Regardless of where they were going, Kaminari wasn’t the type to dress down. He’d be sure to SHOW off his style, especially on a first date. After all, appearances were just as important as personality (and the blonde had PLENTY of that to pass around).

     It’s Tenko’s turn to laugh now; a soft, gleeful sound that shakes his shoulders gently. Mother is always so much fun, and her kisses are the best thing in the world! Well, after chocolate maybe. He’d have to think about that, and there is no time now since Mother asked him a question. “Yes, I’m hungry! Do you think Hana is hungry too?” He hasn’t seen his sister in a bit, actually. If it’s lunchtime, surely they need to tell her as well.

hizashi swallowed, a slight wince at the pain that spiked from it. the nurses let him put in his hearing aids, so luckily he could hear shouta’s voice - thank goodness, he would have lost it if he couldn’t hear his husband’s voice in this moment.

he had been trying not to think of his injuries, of the fact that doctors think he’ll never talk again. he squeezed shouta’s hands, wanting to say something - wanting to talk to his husband like they had five days ago. hands shook as he released them from shouta’s, hesitate in his motions to do so. he never wanted to part from shouta’s touched, but he had to in order to explain the best he could and sign. 

                  ❛ vocal cords are crushed. ❜

he brought a hand up to touch the thick bandages on his throat. there would be a scar; the villain had gotten too close to hizashi; while he was a pro hero, he wasn’t close combat by any means. he was a long range fighter and only used skills in self defense. but that hadn’t been enough - his speaker had been destroyed with some-sort of pressure quirk and closed completely on his throat as the villain also used a knife for safe measure. 

it worked. the speaker as well as the knife did damage the doctors didn’t think could be healed. recovery girl had done what she could, but had walked away with a sad look on her face. 

he leaned towards shouta the best he could as he signed again. 

                  ❛ doctors think it cannot be repaired.  ❜

he would not cry. he cried the first day he woke up, he cried most of this morning - he wasn’t sure he had tears left. but he felt the wetness in eyes and blinked them away, giving his husband the smile he could. hizashi knew he would be retiring first out of the both them but he had thought it would be due to his hearing - not losing his voice and his quirk. 

                  ❛ announcement for retirement is in three days.  ❜

he  glances  from  hands  that  signed  to  around  the  room;  eyes  lazily  tracing  the  ceilings,  the  walls,  the  windows  that  were  lit  by  the  sun’s  WARMING  rays     ---------     how  UNSETTLING  it  was  for  hizashi  to  be  the  one  lying  in  the  hospital  bed  wrapped  with  bandages.  not  so  long  ago,  he  was  lying  in  a  hospital  bed    ---     his  vision  blurred  by  wraps  and  arms  USELESS  by  his  sides,  yet  he  had  walked  away  with  his  quirk  intact.  a  storm  swells  deep  in  chest,  ripping  and  tearing  beneath  his  rib  -  cage;  clutching  viciously  at  heart.  if  only  he  had  been  there  then  maybe  he  could  have  prevented  this.

BUT  IT  WAS  ALREADY  TOO  LATE.  scarred  fingers  twitch;  clasping  tighter  atop  his  lap.  somehow,  he  could  only  think  of  this  as  his  own  fault.  he  should  have  went  with  hizashi  when  he  received  the  emergency  call  but  he  hadn’t.  he  had  remained  behind  with  a  strong  belief  that  his  husband  could  handle  the  situation.  he’s  never  had  to  worry  before.  he  could  hold  his  weight.  he’s  seen  hizashi  in  battle   ---   he’s  trained  beside  him;  FOUGHT  alongside  him.  it  was  made  apparently  clear  on  the  phone  that  the  target  wasn’t  a  dangerous  one  (  just  an  average  criminal  ).  WRONG.     ---------

‘     WE’LL  FIGURE  IT  OUT.  you  said  that  the  doctors  ‘  think  ’  your  vocal  cords  cannot  be  repaired  but  that  just  means  there  is  a  CHANCE  they  could.  quirks  have  advanced  enough  that  i’m  sure  SOMEONE  out  there  can  help  us  restore  your  voice.     ’     shouta’s  gaze  returns  back  to  his  spouse;   to  his  hands    ---    to  the  bittersweet  smile  on  hizashi’s  face.  without  a  voice  to  speak  directly,  the  communication  between  them  would  be  limited  to  japanese  sign  language,  texting,  notes,  etc.  he  would  have  to  sharpen  his  knowledge  on  sign  language  more  than  ever  now  that  his  husband  was  mute.  BUT  IT  WAS  A  SMALL  PRICE  to  pay  to  be  able  to  speak  with  his  husband  until  he  could  look  further  into  searching  for  the  right  individual  with  the  quirk  he  needed.  he  prayed  it  wouldn’t  be  long.

If Mother laughs, surely Tenko did something good. He grins widely, a pale rose coating his cheeks. He looks at the extended digit curiously before understanding and curling his pinky finger around hers. Meanwhile, his other hand keeps holding onto her. After all, the hug would break if he released his grip. That would be unacceptable! He can’t already break the promise! “Yes, promise!” he parrots, shaking their linked fingers as he bounces some more.

we all learn hawks’ backstory or at least that he was living in poverty;  based on the trash he was living in,  his clothing,  the cheap toy  (  endeavor  )  he was given,  and the long  -  history of poverty in his hometown.  we do not know his relationship with his parents but we can assume it was not a healthy one.  he was a very motionless child and surrounded by shattered glass,  trash,  and alcohol bottles.  based on the fact that he went with the government,  it can be assumed that the parents or parent cared little if he was taken from them.

yes,  the government officials state that his family will be cared for if he goes with them,  but that’s the thing.  it’s a bargaining chip.  (  give us the child and we’ll give you money in return  ).  keigo probably had no say in the matter and like a good little boy,  he most likely listened to his parents and left with these strange people.

now what about alt hawks  ?  (  aka the backstory i had before canon was released  )

the major difference between canon and alt is the poverty and relationship with his parents.  alt  !  keigo was born into a middle  -  income household to a kind mother and proud father.  his mother’s quirk was telekinesis while his father had the appearance of a bird,  his quirk being a falcon.  if you’re wondering why hawks has a hawk  -  related quirk when his father had a falcon,  i honestly cannot explain.  ask me two years ago.  p.s. keigo’s father was a pro  -  hero before he retired to care for his newborn son.  both of his parents were supportive of him and his growth to becoming a hero.  there is not much else to really say about his past. 

Enji was just sitting there at that point. watching the other. sure enough, he knew how the little birdy gets when he was bored. a side-effect of spending his time with the other a lot. Though he wasn’t too mad about it, it’s not like the other was too annoying today. Enji had a lot of paperwork to do, and yet, hawks wanted to spend time with him. Enji was just leaning back into his chair and his blue eyes simply stared longer at him. When he was kissed, he wanted to roll his eyes, but if he shows any type of emotions, it might bring the other to be a little happier then anything.

Shaking his head, the second the other sat on his lap, he moved an arm around the other for a second. keeping him in place, he couldn’t help but exhale lightly. now he wasn’t the person to cuddle anyone, but this one — always seems to be getting the best of him. Who in his world was  ALLOWED to sit on his lap? not even his kids did that. ( for very many reasons). But he couldn’t help shake his head again. He had a lot of work to do, and he really didn’t have time to play around like this.     “ Well, how else have you been getting my attention lately? if it’s not just screaming at me over and over again, then what is it? ”   he almost teased, but his eyes turn away from the other.     “ —–  is there something you want to do, or are you just going to annoy me. you know very well I have plenty of paperwork that needs to finish, and I’m pretty sure you have your own work you need to get done.” 

Enji moved his eyes to look at the other once again. blank expression, he was more than likely going to hear how he doesn’t want to do anything and just wants to spend time with him. Enji should REALLY take a break, maybe eat something, but —- the work would just pile on, and he just couldn’t have a long break. 

the  second  an  arm  curls  about  his  waist  he  MELTS.  a  gentle  coo  forms  in  the  back  of  his  throat  as  golden  hues  slip  closed.  keigo  rests  his  weight  entirely  on  the  elder,  arms  resting  ‘pon  shoulders  and  face  nuzzled  deep  into  the  crook  of  his  neck.  he  thinks  for  a  moment  that  he  could  fall  asleep  just  like  this.  surrounded  by  COMFORTING  WARMTH  and  the  scent  of  endeavor.  it  was  ALMOST  too  bad  that  he  wasn’t  wanting  to  sleep  any  further  than  he  had.     ‘     ALL  WORK  AND  NO  PLAY.  unlike  you,  i  finished  my  paperwork  earlier  this  evening,  so  i  could  have  a  LITTLE  bit  of  free  time.     ’

INITIALLY, THE THERAPY WAS MEANT TO LAST   for months, if not even a year, as these injuries were more than just ‘mere bruises’, as she’d always brush off. having just ribs   &   both legs broken due to an impact of fallen ceiling was sheer luck, in her opinion. it was miraculous she survived, really. spending time inside this hospital, undergoing this session, gave her enough time to think through experiences, fatal as they may be, thus concluding that this was only tip of the iceberg if you consider how many villains there were, if not more dangerous than overhaul   &   shie hassaikai. this is what must mean to be a hero … someone who’s willing to throw everything away for the sake of people, no matter what, then lead those who suffered to a happier future. it seems … she found the purpose behind her training.

after seiji spoke up, she blinked at the plastic bag neatly placed on her bed which she’d accept, then nervously rub her finger against the cheek.  ❛  i - is it … ?  that’s good to know. so … when i get released next week, will i be required to continue my work study, alongside kirishima - san  &  amajiki - senpai… ?  ❜   as she inquires, her hands were preoccupied ripping open the wrapping paper from the plastic container for cookies, take one  &  hand it over to the other. 

soon, awkwardness took stage when she’s expected to know where should this conversation be lead to. clearing her throat, sayu faces her hands.    ❛  well … anything’s fine as long as we’re talking. while i prefer peace  &  quiet, constant silence can drive you insane. that’s why i usually play music in weird hours … ehehe… ~  ❜

‘     IN  ALL  HONESTY,  i’m  not  in  the  position  to  CONFIRM  OR  DENY  that  question.  you  can  always  ask  the  nurse  or  my  mom  when  they  come  by  later.  i’m  positive  that  they  can  tell  you  if  you  can  or  not.     ’     a  frown  quickly  spreads  across  his  features,  lips  thin  and  tongue  HEAVY  in  his  mouth.  as  much  as  he  would  have  liked  to  answer  her ;  he  knew  that  he  could  possibly  be  WRONG.
