“I don’t like the idea of raiding a hospital.” The people there were innocents. Civilians and the sick. No point in causing danger. However...

“If it becomes necessary, I will not stop you. But for now, I would like to find an alternative. None of his wounds require anything particularly elaborate. What’s important is that we keep him clean and hydrated.” She gestures to his lips, and then neck, where the skin is creped and dry.

News footage of a destroyed city, remains both smoldering and ashen...at the time, he hadn’t doubted the story given, but she certainly concludes it makes more sense with the powerhouses stacking the League.

Ibara didn’t know much, but he did know power. He knew it well.

She watches Shuichi’s mournful gaze, and follows it, somewhat quizzically. 

“He is possessed?” Unusual for someone not of a faith to believe in that sort of thing, which leads her to press for more context.
