On this topic, I thought the most stress I would derive from Slay The Princess would come from worrying about making the wrong choice, but that was... surprisingly not the case. The game doesn't punish you for either choosing to save the Princess or slay her. Like, there are consequences, and some characters might hurt or insult you for the choices you make, but in the game as a whole, it feels like both decisions are reasonable to an extent.

I keep forgetting this but banger idea that Quiet has hanahaki but it ONLY progresses in TLQ because it's the only time he remembers her and thus the only time he can feel the unrequited-ness of it all. You can ask her what she feels sure, but maybe you don't fully accept that since she's incomplete, or you don't fully understand her words, or Quiet can't recognize their feelings till the end but can see how it rhymes with the vessels.

You see, I think I did find a wrong way to play Slay the Princess because I keep forgetting it’s a love story and not Mortal Kombat The Visual Novel until it gets heartfelt and sappy (and from my perspective out of nowhere. I know it’s not but rememebr that I’m playing it wrong)

I feel like a lot of people do not remember that Witch is masking a fuck ton and is genuinely scared shitless the entire time she’s interacting with you. “All you are is fear and instinct, and that’s all I am, too!”
