“I’ve grown bored of this town years ago. I really wish I could go somewhere else for a bit at least. Oh, well. Maybe something exciting will happen soon.”

“At least you can reminisce about more exciting places, I can only imagine.”

“A few days ago after trying to convince my dad.” Maddie grinned. “But she’s definitely not used to being around so many people in our family.”

Quinn smiled, “You all are a lot to get used to, I can’t blame her.”

“Say hi Elsa.” Maddie cooed to her little puppy that she had recently adopted as she walked through the town, trying to make sure that she got enough exercise. “Sorry, she’s still getting used to the walks thing.”

Quinn smiled, “When did you get her?”

“Yes, it’s not like I can go anywhere and your aunt always seems to be busy. The kids are all grown. I officially have nothing to do and I’m not good at sitting around doing nothing.” 

Quinn nodded, “I get that. And there’s really only so much to do to keep yourself busy, especially in the summer. This town really could use literally any kind of excitement.”

“I think I’d like to go to the Grand Canyon.”

“Uh, yeah, I guess so. I wandered into town about four years ago without realizing that I wouldn’t be able to leave again.” He explained as they rounded a corner. “What made you work at the gym?” He asked.

“Surprisingly, yes.”

“Well, that’s because people are idiots.”

“Well, we at least have something in common. That’s a start.” He spoke with a small roll of his shoulders as they walked. “So, how long have you been in this town?” He asked to make conversation as they went.

Quinn shrugged, “My whole life, unfortunately. I take it you’re relatively new here then.”

Felix rolled his eyes once more, but gave a small chuckle. “That’s a good idea. Depending on the day, I can either be much nicer or much more of an ass.” He hummed out.
