They would rather misdirect us. We are to blame the poorest. The people who need government funding just to survive. The one's living in decrepit buildings with mold and rats. It's their fault, because they "refuse" to work. They are not disabled. They are not uneducated and know no other life and no way out of it. They are clearly living that way on purpose.

They would rather blame the foreigners coming for asylum or basic citizenship. Either to escape war, poverty or gangs, or to provide a less horrific life to their children. Something we would all do. It's their fault, because they are clearly taking the aid the government would totally give you. If you hurt them, you might get more scraps.
