Annie knew Finnick from a young age. She’d watch him swim and splash in the water with the others like him. She was too shy to ever say anything, at least not until that on fateful day. She really hadn’t meant to startle him, and she’ll swear to that this day. Her younger brothers had insisted on a game of hide and sick, and being that they were younger brothers and that she was the older sister of course she was ‘it’ first. She had heard a rustling in the boat shed, and so she took tiny stealthy steps, hoping to catch one of them by surprise. Lo and behold it was Finnick. Annie lost that game of hide-and-seek and found herself tangled up in her words trying to explain herself.
