Quiet Miracles That Seek No Attention

You will see a different dynamic from Carol and Daryl for sure this year. It’s complicated. There are a lot of things going on that make those characters go in certain directions. You will get to see how close they are and you’ll also get to see those characters interact in different ways as well.

There is a great bond and chemistry that I feel with Norman that I do think transcends to film and the way that writers have paired these two in circumstances from the very beginning. We just feed off of each other, me, Norman, the writers, what they see on screen, and just carry the story forward. I love their relationship, whatever people want from it or what people see of it.

I think it’s wonderful how all of that happens between Henry and Daryl without them knowing that she’s aware; she knows that they’re going to take care of each other. I think she probably would think of anything to be able to go check up on Daryl, to make sure that he’s going to be okay. But, it was also important for her to get them teamed up together, because Henry’s going out into the world. He’s going beyond the gates, and he needs somebody who’s going to take care of him, and I think Daryl obviously is her first choice for the person she trusts the most with her kid, and he also knows how much she values that.

This is the storyline where technically the least is happening, but it works because Melissa McBride and Norman Reedus are just so damned good together.
