This blog exists to amplify the voices of LGBTQ+ refugees in East Africa whose stories are too often unheard.
We are a community of people who have been forced to flee persecution because of who we are. Many of us now live in refugee camps, (kakuma kenya, Gorom in sudan) where we continue to face hardship, including discrimination, insecurity, limited access to food, healthcare, safe shelter, and other basic needs.
Through this blog, we’ll share our experiences, our resilience, and our hope. Our goal is to raise awareness, challenge misinformation, and connect with people around the world who believe everyone deserves safety, dignity, and the freedom to live as themselves.
Whether you choose to follow, share our posts, or simply take the time to listen, your support helps our voices reach farther.
Thank you for being here. Together, we can make sure these stories are not forgotten.
