Archie Panjabi as the rani was legitimately such a stellar casting choice, I need her to do big finish stuff and have them just ignore the fact that a big cgi monster ate her. Saying "wow Denée Benton's acting was really good in that episode" is sort of like saying "wow water is wet," but my god. There were so many obviously great moments when she was just knocking it out of the park--her sobbing to Dorothy, her face during the proposal--but I think my favorite moment was in the Scott parlor with William, when she's so obviously trying valiantly to hold back her tears. It was such a delicate, perfect expression of what that looks and feels like.
