To this day, I can't figure out what it is supposed to be about. It was something cooked up by Freddie's insane brow.

They told us not to do it. They said it was too long and nobody would ever play it.
Brian May on releasing Bohemian Rhapsody [x]
I thought ‘Under Pressure’ was one of our better songs – although not one of our best recordings. I think if we had recorded it more beautifully it would have been greater than it turned out.
Roger Taylor [x]
I am [sick of Bohemian Rhapsody]. When the video came on [at the ceremony] I thought, ‘Oh, Christ, don’t let the audience sit through the whole thing!’ They’ve all seen it. Certainly I’ve seen it a thousand times. It’s like a bit of wallpaper. We did a lot of other records as well. It’s an albatross. But it was a good song. It put us on another level and enabled us to keep making lots of records.

He [Freddie Mercury] had something in his mind and he loved to spin these little pieces of magic. A little bit of reality and little bit of fantasy.
Brian May [x]
Very important. And very difficult – it's culturally divided from the rest of the States.
Roger Taylor on the Southern United States [Creem, 1978]
We just want to make sure that we appeal to as wide a cross-section as possible, and not cater to just a fragment of people. It's limitless; we want to hit everyone.

Happy Thanksgiving to my American followers! I hope you guys enjoy your break off (I know I am) :D
CBSIC Interview with Freddie Mercury, 1985
Interviewer: Will there come a time when you will want to settle down?
Freddie Mercury: Yes, but no one will put up with me. Seriously, I don't know what the future holds.
Today is the anniversary of Freddie’s death.
Freddie, [I want you to know that, if you can read this, of course] you have an entire army of followers that genuinely do love you. I, like many others, care about you. You are one of my favorite people to ever existed on this planet. I love you Freddie and hope you are in a good place [with cats and all of the Wendy’s food you can feed them].

When we do work it’s fantastic. But one album every two years is plenty. We’ve got to try and maintain a little mystique!
Roger Taylor on Queen [Sounds, 1988]
He's a natural performer. He acts on stage as if he was born doing it. That's great for us. We wouldn't want it any other way.
